Please don't go there if any individual want to save his life choose another hospital. They keep me waiting for 16 hours nobody cares for a human being and the Triage guy was playing on phone all night while I was struggling. And in the morning when the doctor arrived He took 2 minutes did not even touch or take a proper look of my wound and said it's nothing just take Advil but I had an accident 2 days before my head and face was swollen.
Triage is not done fairly. I came in with severe chest pains, constant heart palpitations, shortness of breath, dizziness and many other symptoms. I was put at the very bottom of the list and had to wait several hours while I was in extreme pain and struggled to breathe. This would not have been the case in Ottawa; the hospitals there would have seen me straight away after they found out I was having heart problems. There's also only one doctor at night, which is ridiculous considering there's only one hospital in all of Cornwall. Also not that this is nearly as bad as the other complaints, BUT the waiting room was really hot! Makes things very difficult for those with medical issues that cause heat intolerance. Cornwall only has one walk-in clinic, and the level of care at Cornwall's only hospital is nowhere near on the same level as the hospitals in Ottawa. As someone who just moved here, has multiple disabilites, no doctor in Cornwall, and no car to go elsewhere, the health care system in this city greatly concerns me. If something doesn't change or improve, I genuinely worry for the future of my health. UPDATE: I got a hold of my discharge papers. In the file it said that I was given puffs from an inhaler while at the ER, and then was sent home with my own inhaler and advised to continue using it. But none of this actually happened!? I'm completely in shock with this level of absolute incompetence. They also said that I had crackling in my lungs, but now I'm considering getting a second opinion on that. Which is absolutely ridiculous, no one should have to get a second opinion after going to a HOSPITAL. I sincerely hope I never have another emergency.
I would have given 0 star if I could. The worst hospital I have ever been to. I have gone there for several time, ended up waiting forever. If you have to go to that hospital, I would probably say you should have a full day off from work. Today I went there just to get my results of ultrasound and they almost took my 4 hours..............
The worse hospital ever .... I have been waiting for a doctor from 7:30 pm and it is now 12:00am and still no doctor. 0 star if I could. I will not be coming back to this hospital. I will risk the drive and head to Ottawa...... Ridiculous!!!!!
Do not waste your time. Go to Ottawa if you have to. I had surgery 12 days ago and I was experiencing some unusual pain. After researching it was ruled out that there might be a possible infection from the surgical site. I went to the emergency and was told the wait shouldn't be long. I was there from midnight to 6:45 am, riddled with pain and the best the staff can say is "I don't have the power to do anything." It was to the point where I am in tears because of the pain and frustration I was feeling. Nobody even checked my vitals throughout the night to see how I was doing. I got to the point where I was fed up and told the front that I was leaving. She told me oh it would be another hour before I get called. People who came in after me got seen beforehand. Clearly a patient with eye irritation is more critical than a patient who is reversing from recovery and having constant pain for more than 48 hrs.
One star for a reason. My wife had critically low sodium levels which can lead to coma. 10 hours and counting in "emergency" as of writing this. It's been two hours since anyone has been called in. This hospital needs some serious restructuring.
Go elsewhere by far the worst hospital anywhere I've ever been go anywhere but here
I've been here 10 hours and counting just for a doctor's note because my work needs it for light duties Their food vending machine either doesn't work or they don't take debit, I'm slowly starving while I wait.
