The food was great at Cordo. I recommend trying out a flight of gin if you go there. You choose a mixer and a gin, and they have a good variety to choose from. The food and dessert was good too. We had the beef tenderloin stroganoff, which was a delicious modern twist on an old classic.
It’s a bit challenging for us to find a dog friendly patio in Kamloops. Fortunate, we found this amazing restaurant. Although our dog couldn’t be inside the patio with us, he could stay outside beside the fence. The food was delicious and we’d definitely come back again!
Our server was Tristan who was lovely, they were very friendly and made great recommendations for the gin flight. The food was amazing, we had the butchers block charcuterie plate to start, and for dinner had the prime rib special. The prime rib was flavourful and cooked perfectly!Food: 5/5
The location was in a great part of downtown with parking on the street. The service was awesome. And those cocktails were pretty good. Plus they had a wonderful selection of BC wines and beer. I always like to support local! For cocktails, we had * John Lennon & Yoko Coco this wasn’t bad but a little sour for my liking * Ginny from the block highly recommend, very alcohol forward * Revelstoke lager love this beer so much we tried to find it in a liquor store * Woodward cider - raspberry made in Kamloops! For our entree we shared a Charcuterie board. This is the reason I gave 4 stars. It was OK. The meat selection was odd and all pork?? Would have been nice to have a sweet offering such as honey or a jam. The baguette that came with wasn’t cut all the way through and we only had bread knives to cut them which was a pain! Cordo, if you’re reading this, cut the baguette all the way through or make sure u add a sharp knife to the board so your customers can finish the cuts “easily”!
Yummy food, really enjoyed the gin flight. My roasted squash risotto was tasty, save for one piece of squash could have done with more cooking. Nice atmosphere, and no rushing on a busy night.
My wife and I walked in no reservation on a Sunday night for our anniversary. We were greeted quickly and politely and seated immediately. The host and the servers were very polite and friendly. Drinks were a tad slow to arrive 5 minutes for a diet Coke - not great but not horrible but that's our only complaint with the entire dinner. The meal itself we both had the steak was VERY good - and a generous serving of sides as well. The veggies were perfectly done and very full of flavour I suspect they were locally sourced . Smashed potatoes were the best we've ever had! The steak was not the absolute best I've ever had, but was VERY good and perfectly cooked. We left full and very satisfied. Decor is a little upscale. Guests ranged from casual to dressy. Not really somewhere you'd want to go in tank top and flip flops, but anything above that would seem fine. They have an outdoor seating area as well borders on the sidewalk. Pricing is a little on the steep side but not terribly so. It's not somewhere we'd eat in on a regular basis mostly due to the price but certainly a great place for a special dinner. We'll definitely be back.
Tonight a friend and I had a lovely dinner at Cordo. I hadn’t been there in a long time and was very surprised by the quality of the food and the service. Our server, Tristan was very knowledgeable and served us up some gin flights based on our personal taste. They were awesome! Tristan was very knowledgeable, attentive and had some great recommendations. The food was also great! We will return!
Had the salmon benedict for breakfast: it was very tasty. Waitress was very nice. Would recommend Food: 5/5
Best fine dining in Kamloops? My official favorite is Cordo Resto + Bar in the Deltas by Marriott hotel lobby hands down! The vibe was very inviting, the staff were extremely catering to our requests, and the bartender has some too notch creativity. This is definitely a spot worth checking out on your visit to Kamloops. They have the most delicious and creative craft cocktails mixed up by Mixer Maddy – such flavourful concontions using a ton of local fresh ingredients and local spirits. I highly suggest trying the Strawberry Fields made with strawberry gin and rhubarb liqueur, so delicious! Also tried the Flamingo in the Desert and the Tequila Mockingbird. I love trying cocktails that I know are hard to make at home, and all of the cocktails on the menu were with ingredients I don’t generally have on hand so was super excited to try all their delicious creations! They also have a really great lineup of local wine from all over the Okanagan, cider from their locals up at Woodward’s, local beers to choose from, and obviously a ton of local spirits with a massive list of Gin’s to choose from including some of my favs from their local Kamloops distillery Gin Lane Co. I would suggest trying the craft gin flight if your a fan, paired with a bottle of tonic from my fav local tonic supplier, Barker & Quin from Williams Lake who I’ve actually worked with in the past – loveeee their Marula! For dinner I had the Campanelle pasta which is hand made pasta from their locals at Sorriso’s which is a well known authentic Italian restaurant and Deli in Kamloops. Love how much they support their locals! This pasta was sooo mouth watering, made with basil, garlic, sun dried tomatoes, brandy, and I added some grilled prawns and wow… it was out of this world, probably one of the best pasta dishes I’ve had in my life! My partner had the Steakhouse burger and it was hard only taking one bite when he offered a bite… with that double stack of fresh chuck & brisket, bacon jam and smoked cheddar on a brioche bun. Yes please, drooling already! Definitely ate all those fries too! There are so many other dishes I have to try on the menu like the Seoul Beef Bao, Pan-Fried Gnocchi, Smoked Trout Salad and the Gathering Board. Excited to try them out for Breakfast too and get the Banana French Toast, yum! They even have a Patio Hour, yessss, I’ll be back for that for sure! Their menu is innovative and really showcases the region and the ingredients they have to offer. You’ll see tons of fresh produce, meat and fish used in their dishes, and a little something for everyone on the menu.
I just want to express our sincere appreciation as we had a large group reservation that Cordo was so welcoming to book without hesitations or deposits and we were seated in a stunning private room. The food was fantastic as usual and the built in Starbucks is such an asset to this restaurant. Our waiter was SO kind and sweet. Thank you Cordo
