Bistronomic is a cute French restaurant perfect for a solo dinner. I ordered from their $45 3-course prefix dinner menu. I had carrot soup, Amish chicken, and the lemon tart. The carrot soup was pleasantly surprising. I don’t like carrots much but this soup was hot and delicious! The other 2 courses were good as well. The service was very welcoming and accommodating. I enjoyed my visit.
Absolutely fantastic experience! My wife and I were here for New Years Eve Experience. We loved the atmosphere, fantastic food, great and friendly staff. All of the four courses were made with love and had extraordinary taste. Great music too. The Chef was going around all tables and asking for a feedback, so friendly and professional. See the photos. I will be back.
I live in the neighborhood. Ended up going here twice over 10 days. Great each time. Supberb service, quality of food & it doesn't feel you're in Chicago. I adore the lovely, friendly hostess & love that the chef comes out to say hello.
Recommended by a friend staying in Chicago to try this restaurant. Prior reservations recommended. Good service and ambience. We had the French onion soup, escargots, duck pate. The duck confit, duck breast are quite good value for money.
Great space, tasty food, and very friendly service. Had a big group of 10+ on a weekday and manager was very flexible and accommodating with seating. Food came out fast and we ended up sharing everything family style which meant just a couple bites of each dish. The duck breast, duck leg confit, and steak were all really great. Had a bunch of other dishes, and everything was pretty good, including the dessert of baked Alaska, lemon tart, crème brûlée, and hazelnut bar. Overall, don’t think you can go wrong with whatever on the menu looks appealing to you.
Warm and friendly place. Had 3 course menu carrot soup, short rib, ice cream dessert and a bourguignon favorite. Short rib was a little bit sweet and took a long time for us to get our food. Everything else was perfect and would visit again
Lovely meal in a cozy room behind the bar. Went for restaurant week and ordered the prix-fixe that is usually only available during weekdays. Service was okay. Ordered the quinoa salad, croque monsieur, and one of each dessert chocolate hazelnut bar and apple bread pudding. The croques were not evenly cooked nor did they have the same amount of cheese but they were delicious nonetheless. Fries were limp. Quinoa salad might have been the star with a mix of earthy beets and creamy, tangy goat cheese.
My friend liked her pancakes. The waiter said brunch sandwiches are made in the am already so they could not make substitutions. My toast was pretty hard and my over medium eggs were a little overcooked, but it got eaten anyway. I think dinner here runs smoother, but we did enjoy the bottomless part of brunch. Drinks were very good; the mimosas were not too orange juicy. Staff was friendly. Despite my complaints above, I also ate here for dinner and liked it.
Very nice food and super nice waiter. They continue provide 3-course food but the menu changes everyday. Was going for lamb but it’s basically beef day today
Lovely dinner! Started with the beets salad and the French onion soup, both very good. Went for the Beef Bourganan and it was delicious, really enjoyed it. The food is very good and the service is also pleasant. Will return.
