Community Health Center of Snohomish County - Lynnwood Medical Walk-in

My boyfriend has asthma & is on state insurance. We went to get him a new inhaler after he had just turned 21. Went through the whole appointment, it was a Sunday, so we had the prescription sent to a local store because their pharmacy was closed. When we went to pick up the prescription, the pharmacist informed us that his insurance was no longer valid. Do you think we would have even gone to the appointment if we had been informed? No, no we would not have. Cuz who wants to spend $250 to already know you need an inhaler. Nobody. The front desk people here are in comptentant, had they done their job they way they are trained to & not trying to collect every single possible penny from their patients, we wouldn't be in the situation we are in.

Worst place ever. I would give a zero star rating if possible. Went to the clinic today for an abxess tooth. Filled out paperwork and told I would get a response in 2 weeks. Called other dentists to try to set up an appointment and was told I should go to a walk in clinic for antibiotics. I was told they were open til 7. I left my house for the 15 minute drive. I arrived at 620, stood at the counter for 10 minutes with no one ahead or behind me and then I was told they have too many patients and would not see me. When I called customer service I was told they should have seen me with a 45 dollar down payment and billed me when my paperwork was complete. Incredibly rude employees and no one knows their jobs.

My new dear friend, a single mother of two, almost died because of the lack of professionalism, compassion, and information given. Every time she would go into the clinic for help she was turned away. Educated, professional, attractive, polite, and one of the kindness people you will ever meet. The front desk clerk, short, blond with glasses would always send her away because she had no funds to pay at the time. My friend's medication, well lack thereof, sent her into a ghastly place where nearly all her organs were being shut down, heart attack and minutes from a coma. She didn't know about Swedish Hospital at the time, and could barely drive or was coherent. The rep at the CHC Lynnwood clinic did not care, think to offer her a payment plan, let her know that prescriptions were available or anything close. The doctors there are fantastic, the PAs are GRAND, and the nurses are wonderful, but the front desk personnel needs an overhaul. They only help those whom are welcomed or deemed fit for service in their eyes. If enough of us complain to the right sources in government, city council, CHC's own board, surely these inhumane front desk staff team members will get retrained on helping everyone and not just whom they want. They pick and choose whom they will help, so the ones with good reviews were the ones in the front desk's eyes were okay. Gattaca, Hunger Games, Divergent, well you get the point. In healthcare there are ethics, protocol, regulations to prevent these type of biases, prejudices, stereotypes, and cultural respect should be shown to everyone. Basic Healthcare 101 you cannot allow emotions, perceptions, or ridiculousness to rule. You must be driven by principles, compassion, and just doing the right thing. This blond rep at the front desk, short w/glasses, wouldn't even allow my friend to be seen by a doctor, always telling the nurse that the appointment was cancelled while the patient was there. My friend was barely alive, too weak to stand up for herself, and too proud to make a scene or speak up. All is well now, but something has gotta change with the way they handle certain clients/patients. Other than that, this location is a huge blessing to many...if you are one of the chosen few.

I have gone here for year's and even though most patients that come here are low income and state health insurance the staff never treats you anyless then someone the best medical insurance you can get
