Have you ever wanted to time travel to the 1980s? If so, this may be the hotel for you. When you arrive you will notice the lack of accessibility; doors only open manually and there is only a staircase to access the second floor. Then you will wait in line because there is no virtual check-in option and you need your physical credit or debit card in hand to pay. And then there’s the rooms which I’m pretty sure still have the original brown carpet and pillows from when the hotel was first built. The carpet felt slightly damp underfoot and the pillows were stained, musty, and lumpy. Our room was also not well-cleaned. Under one bed I found a pill, bits of food, and an earring backing. When you leave, you will again need to visit the front desk to checkout. At least there was no line at 5:30 am which is the lastest you’ll want to stay after sleeping on the lumpy mattress with the seemingly 90 decibel AC waking you in the night. Needless to say, for over $300 a night I absolutely do not recommend this hotel.
If you can do without a shower..save $320 a night and sleep in your car. This place is way overpriced for the bare basics of modern hotels for 1 night arriving at midnight. Food - if you can call it that is on par with hospitals. It has improved since my first stay here which was laden with fire alarms all night I swore I'd never come back, it was truly a last resort stop as they were the last rooms avail in the region - it's clear why. This place wouldn't fly at these prices south of the border or in any other province in my mind. For half this price you'd have a better review. Look for deals or rewards if you stay here..but you'd be happier off elsewhere. I don't give third chances.
Nice place — quiet, clean, comfy… but like every hotel in Edmundston, it thinks it’s in downtown Paris. For the same price, you could drive an hour into Québec and save a hundred bucks — and maybe even get a croissant thrown in.
Way overpriced for a nasty run down hotel. The room was musty, damp and smelled awful. The beds were terrible, lumpy and incredibly uncomfortable. The breakfast was a sad display of dry sausages, gross eggs and toast. If this is the last hotel on earth, I would save my $400 and sleep in my car.
Excellent location, halfway between Ottawa and the East Coast. The rooms are clean and updated. The beds are not too comfortable, but there's a mini fridge, microwave, coffee machine, and a large HD TV.nnThe service is below average because the reception staff are cold and indifferent, and the only edible breakfast items served for breakfast were the Danone yogurt, the toast and the bananas ... the eggs taste like they were made from powder, the potatoes were dry and the sausages have nothing in common with actual sausages but the name. If you're going to serve your clients breakfast, and include it as an incentive on your online listing, then you should provide decent food.nnSurprisingly, the Folgers coffee from a machine was good, and I'm glad they have an ice machine near the entrance.
