Comery Block Barbecue

Decided to try some bbq with friends. Patio was dog friendly. Had a couple of whisky cocktails. Field of Dreams and Pineapple Express. The service was excellent. The sauces were yummy. Deep fried pickles, beef brisket, wings, catfish burger, smoked sausage, and burnt ends were delicious.

One of the few amazing places where my husband and me enjoyed spicy crispy chicken. Their xxx sauce is extremely spicy but the their crispy chicken is absolutely amazing! We also had spicy fries and the special dessert! Their collection of whiskey is really goooodddd! A must visit if you like whiskey and chicken or bbq meats!

Food, presentation and drink selection is great! Menu is kind of hard to read, but no biggie. It also took quite a while for my food to come out, but definitely worth the wait

Not amazing, but not bad. The texture of the meat for their wet pork ribs is good enough that I would come back and the drinks are decent as well. I really liked their spicy fries, although it didn’t really taste that spicy to me.

Comery block has half priced meats after 10pm and a great selection of beers and whiskeys. Highly recommend checking it out sometime. Smoked turkey and brisket are delicious. I am also a huge fan of the green bean side, bacon, fried onions, and almond topping reminds me of Christmas dinner.

The beef brisket and turkey is AMAZING. To add on top of that, if you show up after 10pm, the smoked meats are all half off based off availability! Had a group of 9 seated in the back booth, had an amazing time, food was good and was worth every penny spent. Can't wait to come back :

Delicious food! The brisket is super yummy and tender. The chicken sandwich was also really good. Fair pricing. The service is really good too. Only complaint is that the music was a little loud

Best whiskey and bourbon selection in town. Pricing is outstanding with options to try rare bottles you may never see again. We didn't get food but watched it come out and it looked incredible. Highly recommend

I’ve been to this spot a couple of times, mostly for the late-night meats and there’s a reason I keep going back. The brisket and ribs are always tasty and are worth a good mention. The spicy fries can be hit or miss at times but then the portions are quite decent. It’s one the nicer barbecue places in downtown Calgary and you should definitely try it. P.S - always order the Jalapeño cornbread.

Great variety of whiskeys, craft beers and cocktails. The pork belly and burnt ends were good starters to share. We had the Hot Chicken Sandwhich Medium Heat with potatoe salad, hot chicken dark meat, hot heat with spicy fries and a 1/4lb of brisket, a brisket sandwhich with fries and the catfish sandwhich with green beans. Everyone enjoyed their meals and we could've stopped at that but decided to share dessert. It was a sponge toffee carmel cheesecake which was soooo good. Our server Shelby was super knowledgeable and provided great recommendations. This restaurant, along with Hayden Block, offer some of the beet BBQ in the city. We will need to try South Block next.
