Cockney Kings Fish & Chips

We had a wonderful experience at Cook’n with Kings! A friend recommended this place, and we’re so glad we went. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the free parking lot was very convenient.nnWe started with the calamari, which was fresh and delicious. We both ordered the Cod Fish & Chips for our main course, and it was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The light beer was also excellent.nnThe servers were outstanding—very friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to help us choose the best dishes. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience, and we’ll definitely be back!

Great food for a great price. The fish was fresh and the batter was well seasoned. We made our fries loaded poutine and didn't expect a fish and chips place would have such delicious gravy that's perfect for a poutine. Both the front and kitchen staff were all so friendly.

The portions are massive. We got a family dinner that included 5 pieces of fish, a large coleslaw, 2 portions of chips, and a large order of onion rings. The waitress had suggested we substitute one of the portions of chips for a small order of onion rings. We should have listened. The fish is battered perfectly. Very crispy. The coleslaw was creamy, sweet, and tangy. The onion rings were large, well battered, and crispy. The chips were just ok in my opinion. The tartar sauce was rich, creamy, and zesty. I personally would've like a little more relish in it though.

At the moment I walked in, I felt like I was back in a traditional fish and chips pub. The service was exceptional, I was greeted by a friendly lady who was both quick and amiable. The food is nothing short of authentic. The haddock is fried well. The tartar sauce and malt vinegar pair amazingly. The chips are well done, crispy and soft in the inside. Definitely an amazing meal to have with a drink. I topped off the dish with an amazing fried apple pie. One of the best pies I've ever had. This place competes as one of the best fish and chip locations I've visited, close to matching the real deal in Oxford.

My first time visiting here today. The food was absolutely amazing! The fish tacos were some of the best I ever had. Huge portions, great price and fantastic and hard working staff. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this place
