Coastal Inn Antigonish

We arrived late at night after a vehicle issue, and this motel was super conveniently located by the highway. It was a beacon of hope for us in a time of need!nnThe front office appeared closed, but the sign said 'vacancy'. After pressing a buzzer, the owner who lives there came to assist us promptly. She was very friendly and super helpful, making sure my wife and children were warm and comfortable first. It was so nice to have somewhere to go when the car breaks down.nnPrice was quite reasonable. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The kids were tickled by the split-level room. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Staff were friendly and helpful, and even assisted with a complimentary 'late checkout' while I was having the car repaired! Which I REALLY appreciate!nnWe would absolutely stay again!

Stayed here twice in the last couple of years. Both times it's been amazing for the price point. Clean rooms, friendly service, right off of the highway so easy access with a restaurant across the road.nIt's the kind of little motel that makes one question the whole star rating system as I've stayed at 3 and 4 star 'rated' hotels/motels which were more expensive and far worse.

Perfect spot for an overnight stay! In transit to/from St FX, we found this spot to be quiet, clean, cozy and comfortable. We stayed in room 60. The shower is a tad small. Beyond a fridge, it was a nice surprise to have a toaster and a desk. The check in process was completed via text and breakfast is made to order. Very friendly service.

Very easy online booking and check in. Front desk staff was very friendly and so helpful when we had issues with the room and power later on.nnWe started out in a small,clean room but we asked to be moved because it was directly under an apartment with lots of thumping and toilet flushing noises. Avoid rooms 22 and 23 for the above reasons.nnWe did have a short power outage in the evening and I called the office but of course they were closed. I then texted and got a quick response.nnRooms were well stocked with tea, coffee, salt, pepper,cream. Both rooms we saw were very clean.nnBreakfast was hard boiled eggs, toast, muffins, bagels, cereal. Juice, coffee,tea. She also had gluten-free bread.nnThere is a restaurant right across the street.

Pleasant surprise of a motel to stay at for the night. Quick and easy check-in/out. Had to leave extra early the next morning but they provided the breakfast items/foods in our room the night before. Room smelled like smoke, shower a little small. But overall a pleasant experience.
