Story

The Clinique Vétérinaire de Pointe St-Charles is a fast paced and busy small animal practice in Montreal. We aim to run a clinic that is family and community oriented and focused on a shared decision-making model, complete with detailed explanations, patience, and teamwork. We do a lot of work with charity organisations and donate a lot of time, resources, and services to the community. We are passionate about the work we do and enjoy the connection to the caring families and the fantastic animals of P.S.C, St. Henri, Verdun and the rest of Montreal.

La Clinique Vétérinaire de Pointe St- Charles est une clinique occupée pour les animaux de compagnie dans la ville de Montréal . La clinique est connue pour son approche communautaire . Notre objectif est une clinique qui est familiale et communautaire orientée, avec des explications détaillées , la patience et le travail d'équipe . We love this clinic, you get the vibe that all of the staff and veterinarians are pet owners themselves as they are thorough with all recommendations and explanations. Give you all of the tools you need to help your pet live a healthy life. And most importantly are extremely professional & empathetic. Highly recommend, you and your pet are in safe hands with this clinic. We have a happy & healthy pup thanks to this team.
The staff is excellent and the clinic is clean and welcoming. The staff is patient and take their time to listen to your concerns. My cat has a very sensitive stomach and it's been hard to find a food that doesn't make him sick. They were able to provide one that has been working great for him.
Best vet I've been to so far! Place is super clean and open and light and really doesn't feel depressing or claustrophobic like other vets. Got an appointment fairly quick and the staff was very nice with me and especially with my cat. Prices seem on the upped side of things but service was also on the upper side of thing. I particularly liked that they didn't try to upsell me or sell me other expensive food or whatever. Prefer paying a bit more for a good and honest service. Recommended!
We are really happy with this vet. They take amazing care of our cats. Everyone there seems to genuinely love animals and that makes it easy to trust them. The prices are fair as well. I just wish we were allowed to be with our cats for the exams instead of having to stay in the waiting room. ------ Update: I can't thank them enough for taking such good care of my fur babies. Two of my cats had dental surgery here and everything went super smoothly. They also called the day after to ask how they were doing. I kind of envy my cats for having access to such good health care services.
The best vet in Montreal! They are super attentive to all your needs and that of your pet. It's clear that they have a very passionate team and you really feel like from A to Z they follow you through every process! I would highly recommend this vet! Great job!!
Positives they're very nice, they love animals, clean, I've found them to be pretty prompt personally. I agree with other comments that it was better before it moved. Different vibe. For one, it used to be right by a metro now it's quite far. I feel like the old location was more central. They're not open weekends or after 6pm which makes it difficult to buy the prescription food I can only apparently buy from the vet. Everytime it's a bit expensive, as I don't know much I'm not sure all the tests were necessary. They have a habit of alarming me about something, doing the test and saying it wasn't that. I understand things aren't perfect science, sometimes symptoms point to something else and they assure me it's a good thing that it wasn't that but in the end it's alot of money for not much help. Again I don't have experience with other vets, maybe this is normal. I don't think I'll change vets over it but this was my experience.
They have supposedly a great service but when I called for my cat, they told me they weren't taking any new customers at the time and didn't even bother to refer me to someone else. I mean, it's ok not to want your competition to steal your clientele but you didn't want me as a customer in the first place. Not sure they care about animals so much.
Today my experience w/ one of receptionist at the front desk was horrible. The vet and technician there are professional and patient. However, when I was waiting to pay for my bills, my pup met another pup. My dog was excited and trying to bite the pup. I just wanted to prevent him from getting hurt again cuz he just got bitten by another dog a few days ago. So I chose to stand in front him and told him not to do that. But my pup bared his teeth to me and tried to bite me, I just patted him on his nose to tell him to stop. I swear to god even petting was way more aggressive than what I did. However, the receptionist accused me of “hitting my dog” in front of other clients. That is rude and unprofessional. After I told her I was just telling my pup not to bite me, she just said “fine” to me. I felt offended and angry. In this clinic I was accused of something I didn’t do. I really hope to see a professional receptionist next time.
Great clinic, accessibility to the vets is easy, you spend real time with them and as opposed to other clinics where you see the vet only a few minutes where transfer the responsibility to vet techs to continue the consult. Here you have real time with the vets and they take their time to explain the pros and cons of a suggested course of action. They are very empathic with their customers humans as well as the furr babies.
Amazing experience with this clinic. They are very friendly, provide thorough explanations, have reasonable prices, a clean waiting room, and genuinely care about my cat. A drastic difference from my old vet, so glad I made the switch.
