Rockland, Maine is the Lobster Capital of the World. What better place than to open Claws, a casual outdoor lobster eatery. This "lobster in the rough" style of eating was made famous during the1970's by the Boothbay Region Lobstermens' Co-op of Boothbay Harbor and is the inspiration behind Claws.
With amazing views of the inner Harbor and also of the Breakwater and lighthouse and the covered and heated expansive deck, diners will be able to enjoy watching the boats motor by and see the goings-on at the Rockland Community Sailing Program next door.
The three goals of Claws are to keep our business local, to buy locally caught seafood and provide affordable family dining.
Claws is open seasonally, from mid-May until October 1st. September hours are 11:00am-8:00pm daily.
