Ada’s Kitchen

The food was fantastic, but it took at least an hour to get to to the table after ordering. Even ordering a drink was no faster than 25 minutes. I would go back based on flavor and quality of the food, but the service was piss poor. For the price, the service was inadequate. The Vodka Martini was properly made though and the bartender was obviously experienced. If the service was even close to the food quality I would give this place 5 stars.

The food was good. I had the calzone of the day, it was large, plenty of food for the price, and delicious. Everyone else I was with had pasta and all the dishes were tasty. Good beer selection with good prices for local beers. They have a nice little lounge area in addition to regular seating that is good for drinks (or a whole meal).

My husband and myself decided to try Ada’s early on a Saturday night. What a Pleasant Surprise from the moment we walked in the door. The hostess started with a smile and that smile continued on each and every encounter we had with any of the staff. The waitress had energy and described the specials with enthusiasm. What a delight. The menu is simple but there are specials added every day. We ordered a vegetarian pizza (great crust) along with two sides. We were satisfied not only with the food, but the place had a HIP feel to it. I have lived in Los Angeles & have family there & visit quite often. The restaurant had a chic elegance. Like many California restaurants. Loved the flower arrangement and the candle on each table. The décor and the ambience also added to the full experience. I would rate this a five star ***** we will share our experience with our friends and family. Whoever the manager or owner, Congratulations on your hiring. How exciting to have Ada’s in Rockland. It adds to the town in many ways.

Excellent addition to Midcoast's growing dining and bar scene which for quality arguably is becoming the best region in the state. Accessible and affordable family style pizzas, pastas and Italian small plates. Happy hour is one of the best we've seen in the state and good variety of cocktails, cheap wines and beers both local and drinkable. Even though it is clear they are new and understably working out their service program (we waited patiently to get the bartenders eye to order a drink while waiting for our table), our server was pleasant and offered good recommendations and the food experience was quite good. With these prices, ambiance and cuisine, we'll definitely be back.
