Civic Hotel, Autograph Collection

Stayed here to celebrate my wife’s birthday and the entire stay was fantastic.nnEvery staff member went above and beyond to make sure our stay was exceptional. Everyone was super kind and welcoming.nnThe room had an incredible view and a super soft bed. No issues with noise from other rooms or the hallway.nnThe parking is nice and secure in an underground lot. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

A very fine place with extra attention to detail and excellent professional service. Attended a dinner here and the food was delicious and high quality, above average compared to other hotel buffets. A highlight was their gnocchi which was extremely fresh with perfect pillowy texture and their house made crème brûlée cups were wonderfully tasty as well. Nearly all their dishes tasted amazing. Apart from the crème brûlée and fruits, the cakes and bars were the standard average premade ones you find at many other buffets in the region, but the house-made desserts taste much better. Overall, the food here is far superior when compared to the Holiday Inn but not Rosewood or Fairmont level.

The facility is genuinely great. Well laid-out property, rooms are nicely appointed, public spaces have real design integrity. Staff at check-in were friendly and professional. I have plenty of positive things I’d normally write about a property at this level.nnAll of that is outweighed by extremely poor customer service on the back end.nnI stayed one night April 26-27, 2026 as a Platinum Elite Bonvoy member. At check-in I selected the standard 1,000-point welcome gift and the 750-point lounge alternative in lieu of breakfast for two. When nothing had posted to my Bonvoy account after a week, I emailed the property. They confirmed in writing that both benefit codes were properly logged at check-in but said they couldn’t escalate to Marriott until 10 days had passed. Day 10 came and went with no movement. I had to email again on day 12 and also submit a missing stay form to Marriott directly. Only after that did the bulk of the points post. The 750-point lounge alternative is still missing. I have now emailed multiple people at both the property and Marriott customer care about it. No one will resolve it.nnFor context, I’m a seasoned Marriott traveler. I’ve had stays at Fairfield Inns and TownePlace Suites in suburban locations post points within minutes of checkout. A flagship Autograph Collection property requiring two weeks, multiple emails, and a missing stay form just to recover documented elite benefits is well below brand standard.nnWe’re talking about 750 points. The equivalent of roughly $5 to the property. I find it genuinely in poor taste that I have to write a review like this over such a small amount, but here we are.nnIf you’re a Bonvoy member who values your points and night credits, I would not recommend staying here. You’re going to have to fight to get what you’re entitled to.

This is an incredibly nice hotel. It's even a step up from most Marriotts. The rooms have immaculate views and are well attended and serviced. The staff was really helpful and the restaurant downstairs has terrific food.nThe only caveat I would give you if you're a Marriott ponvoy member is that there is no traditional setup free breakfast. If you get the right class of room, they will provide you with the voucher which you can use in the restaurant. When I bought my three nights I had no idea that I wasn't getting the breakfast voucher for the price... So just double check so your expectations are set.nThe environment is incredibly modern and clean, and there's covered secure parking below.

The receptionist blonde hair was quite rude and did not treat customers properly. She did not provide the level of hospitality that this hotel claims to offer. I believe the hotel should hire staff who truly represent its values and know how to communicate with guests in a respectful and professional manner.
