space of the apartments are good size the price is not bad however the owners payment systems is outdated, problems running debit card and some credit card. Watch out with you $300 security deposit my still not return after 5 days. Owners are slack about it and very aggressive.Rooms: 2/5
Run down old place, very poor maintenance and service plus all the rooms and halls have mouse traps which says a lot about the cleanliness of the place. No soap, shampoo, not even a pen provided in the rooms.
Nice place stay if you like antiques and old buildings. Everything is old and antique here but well kept . Even the elevator is originally built in 1912 and still running good . The couple running the place is very nice . You can walk to the river and enjoy nice water front patios.
Very dirty and a lot of appliances didn't work. Floors had goo stuck to them, WiFi extremely spotty and slow, some appliances had a millimeter of dust on them, ovens didn't have any oven trays that would make them useful, bedsheets had permanent marker drawn on them and were wrinkled, the "clean" towels had black hairs on them, VCR and phone weren't even plugged in, parked our car in sketchy lot that smelled like urine. For the 5 minutes that the owner showed us the room, she mentioned multiple times how wealthy she was "I have a plane". Husband, baby, and I went here to try to save money, but this place is a ripoff for how bad of an experience it was.
This place was amazing, old charm yet clean. The rooms were very large, living room, kitchen, plus bedroom all for under $100. The lady that checked us in was nice and charming and spent time telling us stories about the place even though we checked in late. Great location very close to two SkyTrain stations. We only spent one night but plan to be back again. Would definitely recommend.
Very cool place to stay!! We'll maintained and very clean. Defiantly a one of a kind destination!Rooms: 5/5
Lots of space in rooms plus big kitchenette but.... I knew nothing about this place before check-in. Skytrain went right outside the room. Bathtub leaks water after every use. Bugs in the kitchen. No room service at all. Plus this place is surrounded by homeless people. One of these guys tried to damage my new car using a lit cigarette. Shocked that owner never told me about the minuses before check-in. A place to avoid at any cost.
Hotel was built in 1912. It's got lots of character and the room was quite large. I believe they were suits before it was turned into a hotel. The elevator is very old style with manual doors. I liked the decorative rooms and hallways. The hotel is not modern by any means but it's quite unique.
Loved the hotel and ambiance. Skytrain beside the hotel but earplugs are provided in room. I got used to the noise and did not use earplugs. Everything you need is nearby. Loved that it is like an apartment and I could do my own cooking. I stayed for a couple of weeks at a time a couple of times.will definitely book at Arundel again. Owners are awesome and i had good chats with them both. This place takes you back in time and I appreciate the care taken in the restoration of this historical property. Can't say enough good things about this hotel
One good thing about the place is the kitchenette. Fridge is more than big enough for your groceries, there is a stove and oven as well. If you like a historical place, you will definitely like the Arundel mansion, and by saying so, just don't expect amenities you can see in other hotels. There is no font desk nor receptionist, the elevator is so scary. If by any luck you get trap inside be prepared to stay there for hours. Cleanliness is also an issue, you can see mice running around the building.
