Reviews
Many reviews here are written by people who waited for a long time before being invited to an interview to this office. The frustration is understandable but it is directed at wrong targets.nnFrom my experience helping relatives here recently, this particular office operates quite well -- the daily routine of the initial interview at the window followed by a more detailed interview by a more senior immigration officer, if needed, is well thought of and as efficient as one can expect given the hundreds of people waiting to be served. The ticketing system works, only people invited for a given date and time are admitted with a letter inspected by security at the entrance. You can't just walk in here.nnThe real problem is caused by the government decision makers who increased the number of immigrants to Canada including foreign workers and students, and refugees - not just permanent residents to hundreds of thousands a year, but did not increase the number of immigration officers to handle the huge increase in the amount of work. So blame the government for that, not the service providers in this office who do their professional best to handle this flood of people.nnAnother systemic problem -- that of a complete disconnect between this federal office that handles your case with the call centre who often has its IT systems down or is unreachable due the volume of calls. The people at the call centre are mandated to provide generic explanations and have no way to influence the processing of actual cases. So if there is an issue, the person who needs service must write letters to the processing centre not the disconnected call centre I am talking about. The letters can be mailed or submitted via Immigration Ministry website. The former takes forever to process, the latter does not work properly due to m-a-n-y embarrassing bugs Arrive Canada fiasco is not the only one the current government owns. Hopefully a better government oversight will improve this sad situation. As an immigrant from earlier times I remember times where the entire immigration system worked professionally and efficiently. Blame the irresponsible government who can't manage these processes not the office workers in this office who are good at what they do and are compassionate Canadians.
Received an invitation to pick up my PR Card from this IRCC center after 2.5 years.nnArrived at the center by 1pm as instructed in the letter with my COPR and original passport. The token was called out in 15 mins, the officer at the counter was patient and amicable, passport details were checked and the card was smoothly handed over.nnLocation conveniently adjacent the Kipling Station - didn't encounter any line ups and service was efficient.
If i had chance i would have rated 0. Ircc acts like a third world country providing services to its citizens. This is how they act? Why are the phone lines even opened if you can’t talk to people with issues!!!! This is so stupid!! They don’t even put you on waiting they just hang up the call to try again later!!! Its been months i have been trying to get on a call with them but they are simply not reachable!!!
It is really sad to see how they treated people. Front desk security lady is worst. If you ask them any questions this is how they replied why you asking me it could have been other way sorry I don’t know. I think they forgot to say thank you / sorry/ please .nnThey post a notice like don’t disrespect anyone but the reality is they are disrespecting everyone.nnI believe no one supervised this place.
Whoever is running this place needs to be shown the door. What an absolute classless and effortlessness way of treating people. I’m sick of seeing and hearing about how difficult it is to get anything processed here. What an absolute nightmare of an agency.
