Chungchun Rice Dog

Chungchun was like a nice warm breeze on a chilly Toronto evening. The service was personable and very friendly, the variety and novelty were intriguing and the rice dog tasted great. I really appreciate the fine details they put into their food, specifically around the takeout boxes. The box folds up small enough to hold yet cushiony enough so that my two hotdogs remained completely unscathed despite a rather long and arduous journey home. Not to mention the well thought out labelling on the boxes which really sold the idea that this wasn’t just any random rice dog, but one made out of passion. I was also offered some very tasty sauces served in to go containers which I thought was a really nice touch . I will be back!

Cannot get enough of this place! The batter is so good and chewy! They totally nailed it. Any of the cheese dogs will knock your socks off. The squid ink one doesn’t have a distinct squid ink flavour so probably my least recommended option on the menu.

Love this place!! The staff are super friendly and fast. Their batter is amazing and has the perfect amount of crunch! Really nice minimal packing for take-out. We tried the fresh pineapple juice as well on our second visit and it was very refreshing. Definitely recommend giving them a try. Hoping they open more locations!

Pretty good corn dogs. Always consistent quality. Their dough and breading is excellent but I think their cheese could be better. If the line gets too long I wouldn’t wait I’d just go to another spot.

This tiny shop makes the most delicious Korean Style Hotdogs that are made with a sticky and chewy rice dough! I ordered the the Chungchun Original Hotdog, the Gamsung Potato Hotdog, Mozzarella Cheese Hotdog with Flakes, and the Ramen chips Hotdog! I tried to get different sauce combinations, with everything from spicy mayo to garlic butter dust to even sugar. I loved every last bite! The hot dogs are tasty, the dough is an amazing texture and the outside is SO CRISPY! My favourite was definitely the Mozzarella Cheese Hotdog with Flakes. The flake topping is actually so fire. I just wish they’d let you get them on the classic hotdog, as I could only eat the half of the hotdog with no cheese. Nevertheless, this Chungchun is a MUST try if you are in the Toronto area!

No sitting arrangement doesn't matter how cold it is outside they don't have space for sit and eat and the product they serve taste best if consumed as fast as you can. The prices are really very very high even though the raw materials are expensive still 1 rice hotdog should not be $7. The quality of the food has drastically decreased from the time it was launched the oil they use smells now which makes the rice dog taste bitter.

A little pricey but so worth it. Delicious rice dogs that are made fairly quickly and I love that there are so many topping options too! Friendly employees, delicious food, and very filling!

Just get the volcano. It’s the best one to be honest I’ve tried them all! Personal preference and recommendation! When I come to this area, I always come around here to grab one! It’s a nice snack!

The original/classic. Fast service, they give you hand warmers to keep you warm outside. The vegetarian dog is pretty good, I like the selection of sauces and sauce combos.

Delicious Korean style corn dogs with unique dressings and toppings. You can choose whether it's beef-filled, or your regular hot dog meat. There is even squid ink available for those adventurous foodies. Overall quick service, good customer service, and delicious Asian style corn dogs!
