What a disappointment... I've had Choko Mocko desserts multiple times so I decided to order a birthday cake for my grandmother's birthday. The cake was on the pricey side of ~$50 for a 6" strawberry shortcake. My expectations definitely weren't met when I cut the cake to reveal burnt, dry cake layers between thick icing. Myself and 3 of my family members are gluten free/vegan and couldn't eat the cake. It was hard along the edges, dry and burnt as seen in the photos and most of it was thrown away. I emailed the bakery on the same day last Wednesday to try to rectify the matter and the customer service I received was so unhelpful. Without any apology, Peter responded to "reassure me" that the cake I received "looks exactly the way all their cakes look" and "the whole nut flours, seeds and sweeteners affect the colour". Complete disregard for the clearly burnt product I was given. I've had many gluten free/vegan cakes from other shops and they might be darker in colour but they aren't burnt or hard/dry. I responded to Peter to let him know that I disagreed but my emails have been ignored since Friday. This bake shop is quick to accept your e-transfer but doesn't stand by their products or respond to customer concerns in an appropriate way. I'd never order anything from here again.

I have been going here for many years! My family now also goes and also loves everything about this wonderfully delicious bakery! I absolutely love the beautiful souls that own this bakery, love the wonderful food and desserts that they create! Truly blessed to have met such wonderful people and such delicious vegan and gluten free food! Absolutely amazing family owned and family run bakery that makes you feel like part of the family with every single visit! I highly recommend this bakery to everyone!

The best bake shop around!  So accommodating, very helpful and kind!  Always creating new and amazing things.  Great for people that are looking for sugar or gluten free!  Everything tastes amazing, you truly wouldn’t know that it is so good for you!  Thanks Ksenia and family for all you do!

Sugar Free, Gluten Free and soooo delicious! I have tried many sugar free desserts and some of them just tasted so bad, but these desserts are the best I have EVER tasted. A must try!

I just went my first time, had 1 lunch pastry and 2 dessert pastries. Absolutely phenomenal. Nearly everything is keto, gluten free, and vegan. To make pastries abiding by all those ingredient restrictions is a serious baking challenge, and they do it very very well. That meal literally made my day.

Sloppy and unprofessional…..  I’ll never be back.  Ordered a cake and was quoted a price. Picked up said cake and was charged substantially more.  The clerk called the owner at home, explained the situation and I was quickly dismissed.  They had quoted one size and gave me another. Not my fault. I needed the cake, they had me over a barrel and took advantage of me.  Quoted $65, charged $83  Shame on you Choko-Mocko…  Like I said, sloppy and unprofessional shop. Avoid it at all cost. Love this place.. addicted to the freshness and quality! Doesn't spike blood sugar and feel guilt free indulging. Very impressive nutrition facts, only downside are the prices but you definitely get what you pay for here. They sell out fast of popular items like muffins and croissants. Will continue shopping here! Very delicious and nutrient rich!.   Agree with all of the comments regarding customer service. I feel like I'm bothering the front counter staff when I ask questions .. you don't list any of the ingredients though for pastries.. perhaps add little signs for each item displayed

The woman at the counter was not personable. When asking about the different desserts, she was blurting out what they were so quickly as if she was doing us a great favor. Left with a bad taste in our mouths from lack of customer service skills.

I started 1.5 years ago with the whole food plant based diet “WFPBD” and was struggling by finding a please nearby that offers options for my new life style. This place is a gem. Extremely friendly and customer oriented approach. Very rich and delicious options. I tried the lemon cake and the berry shortcake. All with natural ingredients and gluten free  Will defiantly be here more often. Love this place.

A colorful decor and friendly greeting when we entered this place. I believe that my family and I were the restaurant's first sit down customers of the morning. We placed our order at the cash and then took a table to wait. Tea was served in a large cup and saucer that was nice. Main dishes of the breakfast special crepe and raspberry crepe followed the tea quickly. Lovely presentation and great flavor. Definitely recommend.
