I have had many visits in the last year for a few different things and have barely had any problems. Wait time was good. Nurses can have a bit of an attitude sometimes, but so can everyone. Especially when nearing the end of a long day. Most of the doctors have been caring and actually listened although I've had some that just want to prescribe and move on. It really depends on when and who you get, on how your experience will be.

Went in today for my girlfriend having a head injury we believed to be a concussion. We were intially confused by the process but just go to the first window called triage before registering. The wait with half full room was very quick to go through. Between the first and the second waiting room we were able to see a doctor within 20 minutes. Dr Ryan greeted with a joke that we did not get but the friendliness came across. His check for her concussion was proffesional and he made us feel comfortable with natural conversation, questions, and a smile. He asked all the questions that should be asked. We were given a resource of further things to do along with his instructions via a website he says his helpful. Appreciated a soccer game being on in the first lobby and overall for a hospital it was quick and painless. Hope you have a similar experience.

If you need to go to the emergency go to Taber or Raymond. The length of the drive is less than the wait, you'll get in quicker and you get cared for better. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL WITHOUT AN ADVOCATE. Staff has an attitude. For your safety and well-being, stay away from this hospital but if you must go then go by ambulance. You'll be taken as a priority and your condition may possibly be taken more seriously. 11pm went in with serious pain in lower right abdomen and they didn't take me seriously. I told them I have epilepsy and allergic to cold. They had me in the waiting room for a long time making a fool of myself because I could not find relief from pain no matter what position I was in. When I got into a room I was throwing up, loosing hair, and felt that I was on my way of passing out. I had 4 natural childbirths and have never experienced this much pain. The pain I was in was like labor at its worst point without any breaks. I was in this way 3+ hours and the nurses knew about it. They had me alone in a room for a long time without checking on me. I told nurses my condition has worse and was told to go back to my room. 3am I got meds from a doctor for my excruciating pain. Then he asked if he could call me a cab to go home. I was to take tylonal or advil for the pain (which would not help this serious of pain). I begged him to let me stay until 7 when I could picked up. He reluctantly let me but said if someone needed the room I'll have to leave; "You can go to the waiting room if you'd like". He came back at 5 and noticed that my pain was still there and requested an x-ray to "see what this was". Then he wanted an ultrasound and CT scan. At 6ish I asked the nurse if I could stay past 7 she said "absolutely not" with attitude. There is a shift change and wanted me gone before. I ended up staying in my room passed 7am. I couldn't help but to step in my own puke & pee because the nurses didn't clean up or give me anything to pee into(frequently I passed 1-3 drips of pee at a time. I was told to use the washroom) or replace bed sheets and gown which were soiled, the nurses were aware of this. I was refused help to do up gown. She said "you can do it" despite the fact that I wasn't able to due to excruciating pain. I have proof that I was in serious pain; I have a kidney stone that I passed at home. I am serverly allergic to cold. I told triage and nurses. They exposed me to a very cold room. I went into shock and it was passed of as nothing happened and they didn't make a note of it. My epilepsy wasn't taken seriously. I could have had a seizure. No one would know because I was not being monitored. I have seizures and take medicine marijuana for it. The nurse took my marijuana oil and I never saw the meds again. Nobody in the hospital knew where my meds went or what happened to it. I called the hospital and they hung up on me when I asked for the phone number of patient relations. She had a big attitude from right when she answered the phone. I was nice and she had no reason to treat me as she did. A different time I went to the emergency, I brought my 4 DAY old baby to the hospital. At 8pm & didn't see a doctor until 5 am. At 1am when I went to the desk to remind them that I have seizures and need to take my meds, based on their reaction I had the impression that they forgot that we were there. DO NOT believe the staff when they say you'll "get you in right away" or "a doctor will be with you shortly." This must be a generic response.

Avoid this hospital. Nutbars run it. Staff are prostitutes. Staff are criminals. Rights will be deprived. They don't like having the whistle blown on them.

After my mother was injured the wait in the Emergency was reasonable with about 30 minutes. And they were quick to get xrays done and put a cast on her arm. Took about 4 hours in total which doesn't seem too bad. Friendly staff. Parking charges are a bit odd with 1.50 per 30 mins or 8.50 for 24 hrs.
