Chingu Friend Korean BBQ

Lovely little Korean restaurant serving a simple homey menu. They offer typical dishes and soups as well as BBQ and alcohol. They also have some good combos. Their prices are a bit higher than your average around the area but their flavours are on point. They're also generous with the side dishes, each person got their own serving. Service was good. There were two single stall washrooms. They did however mention that they're closed at 9pm when Google says 10pm so make sure you call in advance.

The food is really good. This one just become my favorite Korean spot around here. The side dishes are fresh. I usually don't eat it at another places because of freshness but I finish it all here.

We were big fans of this Korean eatery. But unfortunately, the food was delivered warm instead of hot squid served on a hot plate. The soup was good. Not sure if cook/management changed?Food: 3/5

The Korean food here is authentic and delicious. The server was very friendly and the restaurant was clean. Price was really good compared to other Korean restaurants and I would definitely come back again.

Jan 11/20 Another nice visit. May 4/19 Back again and simply love this place. First review They have some great tasting dishes. First time here and we were impressed with the quality of the food and pricing. Portion size is fine and service was very good. We will be back for sure as we found a special spot for that Korean craving.

I ordered a chicken katsu and my wife had a tofu seafood soup with rice. The chicken katsu is excellent in the way that it is crispy while preserving the juicy texture of the chicken meat. It is usually hard to accomplish as the meat will be easily dried up after deep frying. The sweet and sour sauce is also different from other restaurants I visited. Well done! The tofu is also very smooth. The taste of the soup is so balanced that you can enjoy a spectrum of tastes, namely, the spicy flavour, seafood, vegetables and tofu The side dishes are nice. The owner is very generous in refill. Last but never the least, the Kimchi will be a surprise when you chew it and enjoy its spicy flavour. Plastic partitions are well set to practice social distance so that customers will feel comfortable to enjoy food.

Local Korean restaurant. Very plain decor but at least it is clean inside. Good services and we get the side dishes refilled with no issue. English could be a bit challenging with one of the two servers but you get the point across eventually. We had the dumpling hot pot and it was quite tasty with he glass noodle and slices beef inside. The dumplings were kinda falling apart when picked up - could have been frozen for a while but were still good. The other two noodle dishes were also quite good. You can request different spicy level to suit your taste. Overall a good local Korean place to be around in Richmond Hill.
