Waited 20-25 mins in a line that was only 6 people long, to order and another 20-25 min for the food. Got a red bean tofu dessert, beef noodle soup, noodles are chewy, beef is tender, soup is good. Also ordered the pan fried Baozi and a beef and vegetables baozi. Taste was good, nothing special but not bad. The gap between giving us the noodles and the baozi was at least 15 minutes. So long that they gave our beef boazi to the people behind us and then said they sold out and gave us a pork boazi instead. We complained and they said “it’s just a baozi” … I think they forgot that their business is all about Baozi, I would hope they should care. The food is decent, but they need to figure out how run their business. It’s not worth the wait.
We came on a Monday and the line was really long. We quickly jumped in line and ordered one of each available bun and a fried dough stick. The pork bun and the pork bun with salted veggies tasted identical except one has more salted veggies. The beef bun was very dry and disappointing. The fried dough stick was still warm when we got it. It was crunchy not crispy and very doughy. It isn't your typical Cantonese style dough stick but instead northern style like their buns. The dough of their buns is similar to hot pot hero which has locations in China world and in Parker Place food court. It's not fluffy. Just plain and not thick. The filling is less salty than hot pot hero but also less juicy and fatty. Overall wouldn't go back for their buns as the filling was dry. I would go back to try their soups and dumplings - will keep you posted on this.
Does not warrant a 20 min lineup and another 25 min for our food. Don’t know what the hype is all about. Menu is all in Chinese. Don’t even know what I was ordering. It was so hard to understand the woman that was taking my order. I resorted to taking a picture of the menu and pointing to what I wanted. Secondly, this place only takes cash. Imagine waiting 20+ mins and then finding out they only take cash. Who carrys cash these days?? I was expecting Xiao Long Bao and was completely disappointed. There are no XLBs on the menu. .They have pan-fried buns. But they’re not pan-fried XLB. Pan fried XLBs have soup in it. Their pan fried buns have no soup. I also found the dough for their buns alittle too thick for my liking. 3 out 5 for the pan-fried buns. I have no idea what the other $2.49 bun that I ordered. Doesn’t matter anyways, I didn’t like at all. Again, too much dough in the bun. The only saving grace were the steam dumplings. They were just alittle above average. To top off this food experience, I was handed a receipt with my order #. The receipt was in Chinese and the girl assembling the orders were calling out the order # in Mandarin. I can bearly understand Cantonese, let alone Mandarin. Would I come back again? NO!!!
Typically, I make an effort to consume all the dishes I order unless they're unsafe, but the Sichuan Tofu is excessively salty, and I couldn't complete it; it's so salty it worries me about losing my hair. No comment on the chicken, it's alright.Food: 3/5
I ordered the bun and taiwanese soup noodle. The bun tasted ok but the noodle soup was tasteless.Food: 1/5
Having a really hard time understanding the reason for the long line up. Food was absolutely disgusting and the cashier was rude. I would not recommend anyone to this place.Food: 1/5
