About last night....driving to Ibrahim shawarma we came across this incredibly well lit restaurant and quickly looked up the menu. All HALAL menu and what a menu it was... We got Deluxe, hot Nashville and honey garlic wings and we literally fell on love with this place! Customer service was 10/10 Food was 11/10 Ambiance 12/10 I can't remember the last time I was in a building as well lit as this. ****Passion filled advise: pls try a dry rub of garlic salt or the seasoning you guys use for fries on the wings before tossing them in the batter will kick it up a notch**** Everything was incredible and I will be back again and again! Thank you!!! Dietary restrictions: All HALAL menu!
It was good not great the staff was very helpful and helped me pick my sandwich the atmosphere was good just at the music was a little too loud and they were playing I guess their ethnic music. Nothing wrong with that just very very loud to go and eat it in my car The chicken sandwich was good The mac and cheese was alright Like I said the whole experience was good not great worth the try if in the area
I bought three shawarma there today . I check this first time on them as I was a regular customer of this place when there was Turkish shawarma restaurant .. so thought it still exist but not.. this new chicksters can’t even put on mouth.. it’s like katti roll .. they say it shawarama and selling $4 katti roll on $9.99 omg taste was horrible.. I don’t recommend anyone to have shawarama on this place..
The staff really friendly, place really clean. Fries were awesome. Chicken pieces big but had no taste. Had to dip it in sauce for taste. We ordered family meal. No plates. Had to eat on a piece of paper.Food: 3/5
If you are looking for the most greasy fried chicken in all of the GTA, and fries that are "seasoned" Fries should ONLY have a dash of salt... NOTHING ELSE. then Chicksters is your go-to place. The music was loud, the men's washroom was deplorable. You are much better off going to Popeye's, Mary Brown's, Jollibee or even Kentucky Fried Chicken.
This place was pleasantly and unexpectedly awesome. We sort of stumbled upon it, unplanned and are so lucky that we did. Ordered: Chicksters Chicken Sandwich Supreme Saj Shawarma Platter Fries Nestea The chicken sandwich was surprisingly good. Chicken was warm & crispy/crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The Mac & Cheese was also cooked quite well, not too bland and not too cheesy. The crust was also dusted nicely and cooked very well. 10/10 The Supreme Saj Shawarma was also very tasty and was cooked well not too dry like some I’ve had before. Would also order again. 8/10 Even the fries tasted better than I expected. I did not expect the seasoning. Nice touch. 8/10 Nestea is Nestea. 10/10 There are a number of other items I’d like to come back and try, but at this point, I would definitely recommend this place. The only thing I’m nervous about is how close I am to this place. PS. The ice cream excited me. PPS. The hand-washing station was a very nice touch. Impressed all around. Parking: Large lot, can be entered from multiple sides corner lot Kid-friendliness: Lots of items kids would love. Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level with plenty of space inside the store.
We bought fried chicken, one leg and thigh which was $8 before tax. Chicken was way too salty and outer layer was almost burnt. With $8 fried chicken we got 4 tablespoon free oil . Oil was literally dripping from chicken, you can see accumulated oil in the box as well. In short buying fried chicken from here was waste of money.
Craving chicken and decided to get the shawarma variety. Been driving by this place a few times and finally decided to stop by and try it. The place stands out since they are bright on the outside, and even brighter when you get inside. The inner space is massive and they could fit in more tables. Other than that, it has an old school diner vibe to it. For the food, we got the chicken Shawarma and a 6pc chicken wings Combo. The Shawarma is really good, enjoyed the sauce. It gives it a really tasty flavour. One downside is the size, it is pretty skinny. Other Shawarma places I go to has massive Shawarma. But great to now have another option for variety. For the chicken wings, they were small for my liking. The fries were alright. For the service, you order at the counter and wait for your number to pick up your order. Overall, I enjoyed the flavour of the Shawarma. I will most likely come back to try the chicken sandwich.
Despite new ownership, Chicksters is a very welcoming place with very polite staff & open atmosphere. I got a chocolate milkshake, 3pc combo & and a shawarma for just under $30 Milkshake was great! reminded me of Reid’s dairy, would definitely get that again. Fries and chicken were better than I expected, i’d rank it higher than Jollibee’s. For the shawarma, I would prefer a softer bread for the wrap but It didn’t fall apart either during consumption so +1 there. Pretty good overall, would definitely come here after a workout at Goodlife
AVERAGE FOOD, BELOW AVERAGE SERVICE The sandwich was dry and not worth the money. Made the drive from Mississauga as I loved their food in Chicago but disappointed. I ordered their daily special and they overcharged me for it. When I went for the correction to the staff, she was unapologetic and told me that I should have notified them. Ideally it is the staff’s responsibility to know their specials and at least have courtesy to redo the amount charged. Do not recommend!
