Ordered food to go tonight and the boneless spare ribs and egg rolls were exceptional. The food is fresh, tasty and extremely well prepared. I love the food, the family that owns it and their pride in making fresh quality food shows!
I had order their mapo tofu and lunch special spicy orange chicken and kung pao chicken with hot & sour soup. The food were great and were really enjoyed them. Will definitely be back.Dine in: YesTakeout: Yes
Great food, drinks, and portion sizes. The staff is so friendly and attentive. The best scallion pancakes around! Also they have a ton of great vegetarian and vegan options! Vegetarian options: So many good options to choose from! Parking: Ample parking
Clean, tasty, Americanized Chinese food. One way to tell how authentic a Chinese restaurant is by trying hot & sour soup. The soup was good, but it lacked a little punch. Everything was good but it lacked a little bit of authentic Chinese flavor. Often, audience determines the taste and that's exactly what it's happening. This restaurant is for the Westernized suburban mild and boring palate! Nothing wrong with that. Mongolian beef was good, but it didn't have much flavor. They could have added a bit more oyster sauce and ginger. The triple crown was probably the best dish we ordered, with chicken, beef and shrimp, but leaned on the boeing side. The beef chow fun was good, but also a bit bland and lacked more beef. The curse of having traveled all over Southeast Asia and tried all kinds of Chinese food from the best, made us crave something more authentic which it doesn't exist in Portland, ME. This restaurant definitely caters to mild Western palate. All the customers were locals. My daughter would love this food. The portion could have been a bit more for the money. Order from the regular menu instead of smaller portion lunch. Overall, clean, healthy, good food with very little MSG which resulted clean taste without any after taste. A good place to visit if you're looking for a mild Western Chinese food.
Food was very tasty. Giving a 4 star because I personally don't really like all the plastic waisted during the meal. I'm sure this is due to covid and short staffing. The food was not greasey and had very good spices. Tried the general gaus, crab raccoons- very good orange chicken, Pad Thai, and the lomein needed little more sauce on noodles but over all service was great and covid safe if your worried about that.
I have eaten at Chia Sen off and on for the last 20 years. The food used to be really good, but the last couple of years it has been really inconsistent. One time it will be fabulous and the next 2-3 times, it's awful. Tonight was awful - my favorite is the Peking Style Chicken, but when I got it it was cold, the chicken was tasteless floating in some sort of liquid filled with wilted, limp green something looked like lettuce . The rice was chewy and the Crab Rangoon's outside wrapper was not crispy, but limp and the filling was cold. That's it for me - three strikes and you're out!
Amazing food. Fair priced, quality food. Great decor and environment. You won't be disappointed.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: YesDelivery: YesCurbside pickup: Yes
The chicken meat in the soup was undercooked. The beef with broccoli was not very tasty. It seemed that the cook was in a hurry and did everything in haste. It's a pity, because it's very clean and comfortable, great atmosphere and service.Food: 3/5
We are in town for the week and found this restaurant. Staff were really nice, the place was very clean, the food was very hot and fresh tasting with generous portions.
Been originally coming here since 2005 before we moved in 2012 now that I moved back the food is still good as ever and The atmosphere looks the same as it has since we were originally there.
