We had the dinner for 2 and it was a great choice. It was a good variety of dishes. The Cantonese cuisine was so different from the Chinese takeout a that we have gotten used to. The General Tso chicken was excellent. Each item had its own unique flavour. Elegantly served by our very friendly multilingual waitress and her robotic busboy. The ambience was nice, not the normal in hotel faire.
Over priced food for small portions, beautiful scenery with the fish in the pond feels like Japan, didn't know I was located in Chinatown, also waiter insist me to TIP her for her service. Had to put my own dish away. Not kid friendly, gets annoyed of kids.Food: 1/5
What a gem! Did not expect to see a nicely designed restaurant. We didn’t realize that the restaurant was inside the holiday inn on the second floor until we got there. Food was good and a little on the pricier side $$$. Bathroom situation was weird because you need to be a guest and have a key to use the washrooms. Apart from that, it was all very nice. Staff was so polite!
I normally avoid restaurants attached to hotels but Chez was very good. Service excellent, food good, in quiet clean setting with pond.
A beautiful restaurant with affordable prices about 30.00$ a head for a four course meal and the food is great. Only cons are the unfriendly staff and the Hip Hop playing on the radio. We even asked why this beautiful Asian setting was complimented with such awful music and were simply told «that’s what appeals to American visitors»... In Chinatown… In the middle of Montréal…. A shame. If you can live with the music it doesn’t play loud or anything and don’t mind curt service, this one is a memorable experience. Recommended.
My wife and I had our Wedding there on September 23rd. All our guest were extremely pleased with the venue. The place is gorgeous, Food quality and quantity was great and the service was superb. We would also like to give special thanks to Chef Yi for helping us with all of our little demands. He met us personally at least 10 times and took care of all of our concern. It was a memorable night for us and were glad to have chosen Chez Chine restaurant.
Food was pretty good, staff was alright, but the atmosphere is really pretty.
Came at 9:50pm and refused service as they said they close at 10pm whereas the hours say that they close at 10h30pm… the host didn’t even apologize
I should have known from the worn menus, which looked 20 years old, that this was a bad choice. Mediocre, overpriced Americanized Chinese food soaked in MSG. Waiter wouldn't let us order fried dumplings separate from one of the prix fix menus, had to get the manager to get this for my 6 year old who loves fried dumplings. This place was not even worth the fact that our three kids ate free. Walk half a block for many better options.
Realy good and am à chef
