Very friendly owner and amazing choice of different style of baozi, jiaozi, shumai and other specialities! The wonton is so fragrant and tasty. Very different and fresh compared to all the other places around Chinatown. They have two different menus to pick from. My only regret is to not know about this place sooner! Don't let it be on the second floor scare you at all.
Buisness owned by a lovely and friendly family. Loved their dumplings and pain farçis. It does take a little while to prepare the food but it is worth the wait give it a try
Ok, they get 4 stars bc the food was AMAZING, everything except the rice soup. That said the ambiance and service is lacking. A simple yet modern refresh would put them on the map. We found them by accident but didn't regret it.
I ordered fried dumpling and wonton soup, Poor quality of good and expensive $20, but the service was Okay so I give them 2 star, see the picture below
A great meal! The chef and hostess was incredible kind to us. It's a walk up stairs, and often missed, but the dumplings are stellar, much better than the ones on the corner. Go for their Guoties Dumplings for a fried flavor explosion unique to the culture
Really good dumplings. It doesn't look like much when you walk in, but try the food you will not be disappointed. Eat a lot of dumplings these are the best besides homemade.
This place seems defunct now. The signs around the door as pictured aren't there anymore and there is nothing welcoming at the entrance. We ventured in anyways into the dark staircase and upon the discovery of a giant XXL rat trap on the staircase we decided enough was enough
Worst service in Chinatown. We weren't offered tea or even water to drink. Table had no napkins and no spoons. Waitress didn't bring plates to eat the dumplings from. There's no usual dumpling hot sauce on the tables. Waitress also didn't collect old dishes and we had to go to her to get the bill, I don't think she was ever planning on coming over. The food we took was alright. The beef soup dumplings were juicy and nice, but the menu doesn't offer much choice and the enticing pictures outside are very far from reality. Worst of all is the place isn't at all cheap for Chinatown, much better options out there!
Easily the worse dumplings I've ever had. This place used to have very good soup dumplings a few years ago, this time, they were just awful! Almost no soup in them and the meat was hard. There was a hair in the food. I saw several spider webs near the windows, the waitress was wearing a stained or dirty apron. The service has always been bad, and it still is. I'm never coming back that's for sure.
The food was excellent, I had some pork dumplings, they were delicious. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired. The waitress is flaky as pastry, she totally messed up our order. She also tried to charge us for an extra plate. Please properly train your staff. Thank you.
