Chewgurt Yummy Burnaby

Cashier was nice, the person making drinks was not. She called the order number in mandarin and since I didn't retrieve my order right away, since I don't speak the language, she seemed annoyed. Drink was mediocre and the value wasn't there. On a separate occasion, their store was close and apparently moving to a new location within the mall. I went to this supposed new location and it was NOT there. It was the last day to redeem a coupon and the listed phone number, messenger, and Instagram was unreachable. Very disorganized.

I've been to Hey I am Yogost and Ricey Yogurt in the same neighbourhood, so I wanted to give this place a try to see which one is better. I ordered the Yummy Blue to My Berry, for $7.95, it's literally just yogourt, ice, and frozen blueberries blended together, and you can't choose the sweetness level like the other two places. Save your money and make yogurt berry smoothies at home. Or try the other two places as there are more to their yogurt drinks.

Cute new location in Crystal mall where you can access the store from the mall or outside two doors – located on the ground floor, near the mermaid statue. My order Price: ~$9/drink: Mango Yogurt w/ Yam Balls: This drink wasn’t overly sweet, and there was a strong mango flavour. A tad bit sour for my tastes personally. Yummy Peach Yogurt w/ Yam Balls: The drink was not too sweet, with a tartness from the yogurt. Peach flavour was quite natural and not overpowering. Both drink flavours were pretty good, but the yam balls were a bit disappointing. Drinks are not very thick depends on what your personal preference is, so if you prefer the very thick yogurt drinks this isn’t the place for it. The yam ball texture was nice and chewy without being too hard or too soft, but there was absolutely no flavour or sweetness. The drink is already on the low sugar side, so it was quite bland altogether. I sort of wished it was soaked in syrup like pearls/boba perhaps.

Finally tried the yogurt drink. I love boba but feel kinda guilty with all the sugar so I thought Chewgurt was a good alternative. I ordered 2 drinks and the wait time was forever! It took them more than 30 minutes to prepare my drink. - purple rice yogurt: the purple rice was good and had firm texture. The yogurt tasted like watered down yogurt - nothing special - mini yam ball yogurt: the yam balls were chewy but it was kinda bland. Again, the yogurt itself was nothing special.

The strawberry drink was pretty yummy, I have to say, but the staff are really rude and that's made me decide to never give them my business again. They had a promotion that day of buy 2 drinks for $8.99 strawberry and purple rice but didn't bother to ask me if I wanted it when I ordered the strawberry. So I had paid for 1 drink around $8 already with my credit card. After realising I could get 2 for $8.99 I asked if I could just add the 2nd drink to my order and pay again, but they said it was too late in the rudest and coldest way ever. No emotion, no people skills, no customer service, whatsoever. Just completely rude, unprofessional and unkind. Because the drink was good, I'm happy to try the other Chewgurt Yummy locations in town but I won't be going back to the Crystal Mall location ever again!

First time trying out Chewgurt Yummy. Tiny drink size but pricey $6.50 to $7.95. - Yummy peach yogurt $7.95 - we added mini yam balls $1.00. Yam balls were the worst I’ve had; tasteless and awful texture. Drink itself lacked peach flavour. - Mango yogurt $7.50 - added mini yam balls and mini taro balls. Again, zero flavour in the toppings. Reminded us of Yoplait Yop’s. Don’t bother as there’s a dozen other better options in the area.

Girl made other persons drinks before ours even though we ordered first. Drink tasted boring and not like berries.

Long waiting time just because I used pickup on delivery app with a coupon code… the store is empty but I waited outside for 30 mins to get my drink…

The yam ball yogurt is my go to! Do slightly prefer the kerrisdale location though.

Got the purple rice, and it tasted ok but way overpriced for what you get. They just scooped yogurt from a container and blended it with ice… might be more worth it for “fancier” toppings, but the value just wasn’t there for me.
