Chef Bernard's Platzl Inn

The place has an eccentric feel to be sure, but not a dump as others have said. The service was good and prices very reasonable. Had the Hunter Schnitzel special, wife had the clam soup. A bit too much salt in the soup and salad, but the rest was good. He sells all kinds of interesting mustards. Bathroom needs upgrades. All in, a good experience.

Great visit while passing thru Kimberly. Wonderful food! The Apple Strudel was delicious and very large as a half piece I ordered.

The food was so good (I don't know if it could even be improved any) and service was good too. The restaurant's atmosphere is eccentric and it stands out, but what really drew us in was the smell. I smelled the food and immediately knew what I wanted. And it was cheap too. Just $35 for two and a tip. I've had fast food that was more expensive.

One of the best dining experiences of my life. I will make an effort to return to Kimberley just to eat here again. Bravo to Chef Bernard. Extremely friendly owner and staff, great prices, wonderful food, and an unforgettable experience. Hats off. 10/10 stars.

My wife entered this establishment with a 2 and 5 year old. She ordered a single order and Chef Bernard came out and yelled at her and kicked her out because she was only ordering one serving for herself and the small kids to share. Absolutely appalling this man, we are local and have been several times. So, let it out. The place is a dump, it smells weird and the food is very greasy. There is nothing world famous about anything in this place. Little does this cranky old man know, the woman he kicked out and yelled at is a Canadian team Olympic gold medal chef, 1996 Germany.
