Fantastic place to get a book or gift. Physical matters and Chapters provides. The cafe area has closed; unclear what will become of the space as new food service locations are not currently economically viable. Staff is knowledgeable and active. Great place to visit and browse.
Always a ton of fun seeing what books I want to purchase in the end and sometimes it ends up being more than one book or item. The other day when I went to Chapters I met an author who was there talking about her first book and I ended up getting the book because I was having a hard morning so my mum brought it for me which I am glad I got the book because it sounded like a good read and I got it signed as well as it helped me feel better after what happened a few hours prior to me going to Chapters with my mum.
Love it! Knowledge is power and this place only promotes knowledge. Extremely clean, always reshuffling, all the newest selections, nothing to complain about. This is my home book store and the only three words I would give is Keep it up!
Went today for their book giveaway Sept 14th 2024 and every staff member I spoke to was incredibly helpful, friendly, and patient. Really appreciated how calm they were given how busy the store was first thing in the morning.nnI found that their store stock was accurate/matched what was listed online e.g. website says 2 copies of a book available at this location, and that was true.nnWhile they don't necessarily have every book you could think of wanting to buy, I felt their stock reflected popular demands right now e.g. a lot of romance, fantasy, and staff I spoke to explained how to order online for ones they don't carry in store.nnBooks on shelves/tables were in good condition and displayed nicely, everything was pleasant to look at. I also appreciated that they had multiple sections for books at a discount or deal rather than just discarding older books that have not been selling well many good reads and excellent quality writing, just not necessarily popular, and should not be thrown away. Books can be a bit pricey at times, so this is a nice way to make reading more accessible for those with less financial freedom.nnAlso, I don't know what type of light bulbs or colour analysis they do there, but even though the store was well-lit and bright, their lighting did not give me a headache, unlike many other stores, so that was a nice plus.nnI've been coming to this location for many years now and will continue coming if I have more pleasant experiences like this.
