I visited Chachee’s Chai Cafe in Scarborough with my family for a late-night chai, hoping for a relaxing experience. Unfortunately, it fell short of expectations.nnI specifically ordered a chai without sugar, as I avoid sweets for health reasons, but the chai tasted overly sweet and lacked a balanced flavour. The taste was disappointing, and it seemed as though the no-sugar request wasn’t taken seriously.nnThe interior was decent, with a cozy vibe that could be great for casual outings. Still, the lack of sugar-free dessert options was surprising and limiting for those with dietary restrictions. The menu could have better suited diverse preferences.nnWhile the ambiance was passable, the taste and attention to detail in fulfilling orders left much to be desired. I wouldn’t recommend it for those looking for a tailored or health-conscious experience.
It was snowing in Toronto and we had Hot Carak Tea at Chachee’s Chai Cafe. The Ambience was good and some of the items displayed took me to memory lane with nostalgic feeling. We had Pink Tea with nuts, Hot chocolate along with carrot cake and Pistachio cheese cake. It was fantastic.
Chachees Chai Café is amazing! I got the Triple Threat Poutine, and it was really, really good—probably the best poutine I’ve had. The sauces were perfect, the meat was flavorful, and the sausage was on point—really, really good. For the price, it was totally worth it. The staff was also super nice, especially the hijabi girl—she was really, really kind and welcoming. The ambience is great, and the best part? It’s fully halal! Definitely a must-visit!
Ive been ordering from here for about 4 years now. Not sure why their spelling changed though.nnI love their grilled sandwiches! I am a vegetarian and I find their philly paneer grill, paneer poutine, grilled cheese panini and chats really good. Their samosas have diced potatoes, which is not authentic Indian and hence not my favourite, but the taste is good, so I do order them sometimes.nnWhat I really love here are their shakes and refreshers! Especially their Rani and Taj refreshers. These are made with coconut milk and are sparkling rose and mango flavoured respectively. They are not too sweet but just the right amount and the coconut base gives it a lovely texture!nnI also quite like their chocolate cake and pistachio cheesecake. They are a little more on the sweeter side but pretty good for those sweet craving days.nnI haven’t visited the restaurant personally in a while, but when I did visit last year, I liked their little museum section where they keep an old typewriter, an LP player and some other old-timey items.
I have been to this place before multiple times and had a decent experience but what we encountered in our recent visit was hilarious. So we ordered for a Rose chai and they gave us pink chai by error. I understand that we missed on checking before picking it up from the counter however without sipping we took it back to tell them of the mistake but the response was disappointing as they did not wanted to accept the mistake.nnBut after few minutes I love the way they handled it as they understood their error and came apologizing to make it right. We really appreciated them coming all the way to our table with correct order later and accepting their mistake. I understand that they get overwhelmed with crowd. Special thanks to the lady with nose piercing in handling the situation! “I was writing this review with low rating however they changed my experience while I was still completing my review and I ended up giving them 5stars”
