Came here after working out for happy hour. Drinks were great and food was very good. We had the truffle fries, Mexican chicken and fish tacos. The chicken was very moist while the truffle fries were mixed table side. The service was great. Don’t forget dessert, we had the ice cream pie. It was delicious. Would recommend!
Went here for a bite before the flames game. It was a 15 minute walk to the stadium from here so it was perfect! The cheese burger and bao buns were awesome! Pierogies were very spicy, and so was the salmon roll. The Maui pie ice cream cake on their menu was amazing, and the pineapple jalapeño margarita was great as well. Our table got the California roll, and the manager dropping it off said “why would you get a California roll here, go to Kinjo for that. Or get the spicy salmon roll, it is way better”. Which was strange seeing as we were about to eat it. We also ended up getting the spicy salmon roll and were really disappointed in the flavor, salmon was cooked and it was way too saucy on top, was a 2/5. Weird thing for a manager to say. Will go here again for sure, overall really good vibes.
Such a great spot! Caitlin our server was awesome. The pineapple jalapeño margarita was perfection. Highly recommend the Shaft as well, apparently a shooter known in Calgary that is also super tasty. The sliders were delicious and we had a great time. Highly recommended stopping in. I also loved the vintage photos of the Beastie Boys in the bathroom :
wasn't busy when we went, so we were attended to very quickly, and got our food just as fast. got the chicken enchiladas, chicken wings and the teriyaki salmon bowl, and blueberry mules quite refreshing. the wings were delicious, but the teriyaki salmon bowl was...not the best. great presentation, but i just wished it tasted as good as it looked was bland and kind of soggy and the rice was really dry.... everything else was good though.
Drinks were good but food was meh. Fish tacos were dry with no sauce and no flavour. Service was quick despite being super busy at that time but we felt a bit pushy to hurry up. Overall experience wasn't that great. Also got super noisy to even carry on a conversation, not unusual for this type of place though.
Great vibe, great atmosphere for drinks, great service and friendly staff. Food is ok for what it is. It's a place to go socialize and have a few drinks and if you happen to get hungry, there is food available. it's not a place to go for dinner. We had the enchiladas and the spicy chicken sandwich. They were average and not really worth around $20 each to be honest. Fries were Soggy, soft and warmish, felt like they sat around for little bit.
They serve burnt pizza. The photo I took was when I took the pizza to go. But looking at others pizza photos, they are consistent in serving burnt pizza. I would recommend avoiding this dish. My group had 8 people and they charged us with gratitude. But they didn't tell us and we tipped even more.
Late lunch today. We had happy hour menu. The portion and drink are great. We ordered pizza but bit salty tacos are average.
I had visited this awesome place for the first time on the 3/27 2023. We were meeting as part of a Canadian photography organization for some food since we had not met for over 33l years. Lots of choice on the menu. See photos of 2 of their plates. Lots of choice of alcohol beverages. Stephanie took our order and brought our food and drinks. She was extremely helpfull and had a smile. I ordered the fully loaded burger with fries and truffle sauce which had some cheeses and cream etc in it. You pour it on your fried. Now the burger. Double smoked bacon. lettuce' aged white cheddar' tomatoes pickles' sautéed mushrooms, fried onions and fancy sauce. This is one of the best juicy flavourful burgers I have ever had. Better than the 5 gentlemen. I'm going to be back. Drinks were also cold. Music played in the background although a little loud. Lots of space not cramped at all. Booth and table seating options. Note the entrance is to the left/west side of the building. In warmer weather they have outside Sable seeting options from what I see. Parking is a different matter but there is some around the local streets just don't forget to register and pay. Thanks for the great meal Stephanie.
We stopped in here for drinks! Steph was our server and she was AMAZING! The dinning area is super cool and the menu looks awesome, we booked reservations to to come back for dinner next week! The after dinner happy hour is superb, they have a great selection of drinks and late night bites, we tried the house made mini doughnuts... so should you, they blew us away, just like the great service we got from our server Steph!!!
