The worst service I’ve ever experienced! My 8 year olds burger came out cooked at medium rare at best. We said something and all that was done was we were told that they could throw the already partially eaten burger BACK on the grill or cook us a new one. By that point my child had lost their appetite so we asked them to take it off the bill. We were told “we don’t do that here”. When I tried to explain that the burger was not done I was told you should have told the server to have it cooked well done. The owner argued with us on how the burger was cooked. He said it is medium well. Sorry but that’s almost raw. We were told “ sorry we won’t do anything for you” and walked away. He had no regards to customer service in any way shape or form.
The food was absolutely delicious! I loved what they called French fries. It was more like fried potatoes & the flavor was amazing! My burger actually tasted like good beef. Not fast food meat or greasy in any way. We were there on a busy day, but it was worth the wait. The wait staff was running around doing all they could to make the meal great for everyone.
Waitress was very nice, but it took a couple of times of asking to get more drinks. They WERE quite busy, though. Steak was excellent! Flavorful, tender, and cooked top perfection!
We stopped a week ago in Mitchell. It was a Friday night. Unknown to us it was hunting season. The wait was 45 to 90 minutes when we pulled in. We decided to keep driving West for the hotel room waiting for us in Oacoma. We decided that if we timed it right by being in Mitchell on the way home we would stop again. It worked out perfect. We stopped at the Cattleman's Club for dinner Sunday night. The salads were delicious. My sister loved her steak. She wishes she knew what it was seasoned with. I had the shrimp. It was nicely done and just the right amount to eat. And yes the place was full of hunters again. Since there were only the two of us we got seated before tables were found for a group of about 15 hunters who were later eating next to us. Easy to find. Close to I-90. Lots of parking. History of the place on the placemats made interesting reading. Accessible. We loved our attentive server. Too bad we do not live closer. If you are ever close stop and eat there.
While the other workers ignored me for 5-10 minutes. Robin was a very pleasant surprise. She was helping customers and gladly got my order. She definitely needs a promotion to shift manager.
This is my go-to place for dinner when in the Mitchell, SD area. The steaks are top notch, I had the 6oz. Bacon wrapped fillet, the service is good, and the prices aren't out of line. But the thing that keeps me coming back is the dinner salad. Yes, the lettuce dinner salad. It is served with a chilled tray that contains shredded cabbage, chopped onions, shredded carrots, and shredded cheese. See pic The dinners come with a cracker basket, Texas Toast and your choice of potato. Love it!!!!
Nice, laid back place with high quality cuts of meat, friendly staff, nice beer selection, and reasonable prices. Some reviews I've read have complained about the prices. I think the meals are priced to quality and value. My only criticism is that the steak 14 oz Ribeye was heavily salted. It doesn't need to be. The quality of meat is sufficiently high that it doesn't need much. A little salt, maybe some pepper. But it wasn't problematic enough that I wouldn't come back. I absolutely will.
This has excellent Prime Rib dinners at a really good price! Service was good, resturant was very clean, and all our food was hot and deliciously great. Will go back when i visit again...
I wish I would've ordered a larger cut of prime rib the au jus served with it is also excellent. Everything seemed to be perfectly seasoned!!! Went back again and did get a bigger cut of Prime Rib just as DELICIOUS as the last time. It was also done exactly as I had ordered it.
Best meal I've had in a long time, had the 24oz porterhouse medium rare, was cooked perfectly! Can't wait to go back! Great value as well!
