Good rates. Lots of rules. But I think I understand why. Great place for kids.
Wonderful campground! Super easy lake access, heavily wooded and shady campsites, playground, toilets, and very inexpensive. Ice and wood available on site. Victoria only a few miles away. On site access to extensive bike trails to Victoria, Waconia, and Excelsior.
The campground was very nice and there seemed to be a pretty good variety of open campsites, wooded ones, ones with electric hookups, and really secluded backpack sites. Each site had a fire pit and picnic table, too. Fall camping here was a bit cool, but the maples were just gorgeous yellow!
You would think the people taking reservations would understand the need for flat ground for tent campers. Nope, slept on a slope. Other than that, it's a treasure!
The staff that worked July 4th weekend was AMAZING!!! Super helpful. Worked CRAZY hard to make sure everyone had a great time! Helped a TON with the kayaks/ canoes!!!
Well kept grounds and swimming beach. Helpful staff. At approximately $15 per night, the value can't be beat. Great family memories here!
Beautiful, convenient and safe place to take the kids.
Great place to camp! No running water. Great variety of campsites.
Great place to camp with beach and playground nearby. Restrooms included are private and simple but smelly, small lights at night inside. Great small beach with fishing dock. Firewood and disposal of garbage are separate purchases with small state fees. Mosquitoes are horrible, even during the day, but otherwise liked the place!
