Owner is very pleasant. Lots of trees and right on the lake. A lot of permanent trailers. Looks pretty rough lots of junk in yards. Bathrooms and showers could really use some upgrades and cleaning. Sites are fairly level but not well cared for. This could be a great site but needs a lot of work. It is the best of the 3 on the lake.
Maybe it is nicer in the summer. We stopped for a night in mid October. This campsite appears to be designed for seasonal use with a few spots for non seasonal. It is a pretty lake and the people are very friendly and accommodating but if you are looking for trees and privacy, you won't find them here.
I find the people in Sudbury to be so nice and the owners at this park also. we stayed here two nights Oct 7-8th. The spots were on the small side with a view of the lake although if someone parked next to you, your view would be blocked. One of the lots had a broken sewer pipe and we could smell sewer. The washrooms were clean but given the outside temp cold they were not heated however there was lots of nice hot water for a shower. brrrrr getting ready for the shower. Provided wifi was useless as I am finding this to be the case at most campgrounds. The buildings are outdated. I like the security of having a code to come in and the owners live on site. The price was $45/night full hookup - provincial parks such as pancake bay was charging about the same and availability was limited. This campground was about 20 minuted to town depending on where you want to go which is a bonus. Services were plentiful in Sudbury and costco is working on getting a gas station.
HORRIBLE SERVICE. IF YOU WANT TO BE MISLED THIS IS THE WEBSITE We attempted to book over the phone at least 4x. Message says they are out in the park. Stop by and they will look after us. Or leave a message. Mailbox is full. Can’t leave a message. We arrive at 6:15pm OPEN sign off, gate closed. Message on machine now says closed at 7pm Oct 14 Reopens again Oct 16th. We are left in the driveway w our fifth wheel trailer, in the rain !! All I want to know IS … is your campsite open for the OFF SEASON OR NOT !! Cause your messages are 100% MISLEADING LITERALLY, not happy campers !!
Absolutely amazing hospitality!! The manager Ben was too kind, checking in on my boyfriend and I while riding up on our bike trip, giving us weather updates and suggestions to keep dry. Hard to find such kind genuine people like him. Highly recommend
This place is run down. The nicest parts of the campground are the sites rented long-term and the renter's take care of their pads. The webpage makes it look better than it is. The proximity to town was the biggest bonus
We loved camping here, the owners were very friendly and helpful. The manager Ben went above and beyond to Make sure we had everything we needed. We booked for 9 days and ended up staying 12, because we enjoyed ourselves. The seasonal campers were welcoming and invited us to their campsite. Looking forward to going back next summer. See you soon Ben, look out your Pocahontas Harley riding girl will be back!
Nice park everything you need. Enjoyed our stay. Friendly place. Convenient easy access off hwy 69. Close to all amenities.
Lovely large site. Easy in and out. Full hook up. Right by the lake. Very professional and helpful with getting into site, how to use codes in and out. Thank you!
Great place to camp out with the kiddos. There's a beach area with tons of outdoor toys, dock, small park and laundry with indoor shared bathrooms. Great little place.
