Royal Congee Chinese Cuisine

I once asked a girl I secretly had a crush on out on a date. It was after I agonized for days wondering if I should do so, because it would have very obviously exposed how I felt and made me vulnerable to a devastating rejection. I finally gathered enough courage to ask, and... she just laughed and said no. Needless to say, I was heartbroken, but that wasn't the hard part. That titled belonged to the aftermath, when I had to smile, pretend to look on the bright side, stay positive and tell myself it was okay. If only I had found this restaurant then. The food would have warmed the darkest recesses of my heart, and the wonderfully patient lady who served me she was polite even when a nasty customer was super rude, made sure elderly customers were able to sit down and take their time to order for takeout, repeated their orders to make sure they knew what they were buying, and did everything with alarming speed would have helped me regain some faith in humanity again. This place will not only heal broken hearts, it will make a normal person feel better too.

This is the only decent place in the area serving Cantonese style Chinese food. It's a popular spot for takeout. The price is reasonable as long as you order what's on the menu. We once ordered something not on the menu and found the price was pretty steep.

Really like this place.. It's the perfect spot to get our Cantonese go-to dishes when we're craving Chinese food. Always get friendly service. We finally got to dine in and it didn't disappoint. Would rather go here than Congee Queen as Royal has better prices and more flavour. Also like their chili oil better!

My go to menu/dishes I get regularly that are must-tries: 1. Pepper Salt deep fried squid 2. Chicken/shrimp/egg fried rice 3. Lobster in black bean sauce or ginger and green onion 4. Chowmein crispy any style my fav beef and Chinese broccoli 5. Fried rice noodle in XO sauce or beef and black bean sauce hold the red/green peppers 6. Deep fried wings 7. Chinese braised vegetables 8. Har gow Vegetarian options: Veggies on veggie options Kid-friendliness: Yes kids are welcomed and clean bathroom Parking: Lots of parking Dietary restrictions: You tell them and they will accommodate.

The food was absolutely delicious! The chicken congee, bbq park and mixed vegetables were all so fresh! Another great gem in Scarborough for traditional Chinese food! Service was very friendly, attentive, and accommodating! Will definitely come again!

Good portion with quality ; truly Hong Kong Cantonese style ; good variety of menu selection; only one near the neighbor Midland & Danforth; however, no Hong Kong Milk Tea

Staff members are friendly and offer help about the menu if you need it. Took about 15 mins to make our food. We got the chicken congee and beef/ginger noodles. Not too salty. Spices were not overpowering but I liked the subtle flavor of each dish.

First time I ordered food from this restaurant on 24th December. Several items I ordered. All of them were equally delicious, less grease, and salt or MSG. I am really impressed. I shall buy again for sure.

I arrived too early. I ordered my food at 11 am. They warmed up leftovers and put it into containers. Warmed over noodles, warmed over deep fried tofu !!!!!, the hargow was still frozen in the middle, and basically, it was fifty dollars worth of trash for recycling. I've actually had good food here in the past, but this is beyond inexcusable to serve yesterday's leftovers.

Seafood Congee is the beast for us with dough fritter and squid deep fried. Flavor is good Service is fast. Always busy. Lots of parking. A small plaza with tons of different stores. Shops at Don Mills is just accross where you can stroll and enjoy festive display.Food: 5/5
