Came here to grab some ice cream and bubble tea. Super cool concept to order and pay on a tablet. This place was hard to find at night time because I don’t think they have a lit-up sign. The ambience was super nice and calming. I ordered the sesame ice cream which was wayyyyy better then I thought it would be. I would definitely come here again in the future.
*** MUST EAT - BEST ASIAN INFLUENCED GELATO *** HANDS DOWN BEST GELATO IVE HAD IN A LONG TIME came here on a suggestion from my friends, honest was going to get the HK tea I've cream BUT I love pistachio more so I got that on a whim! Best decision i made haaha, so flavorful, light, tasty, worth the money! PROS • tons of Asian influenced flavors! • light snack for your dessert needs • covid friendly, the workers don't talk to you at all, they have tablets set up for you to order, lots of hand sanitizer & a slot serving system - pretty cool adaption! CONS • hard to find parking I'm definitely coming back to try the other flavors! if you're in the area, make sure to make a stop here!
My friends have been raving about this place for years now and I finally decided to try it: it didn’t disappoint! First, their ordering process was so covid-safe and efficient. There are three kiosks you can choose to order/pay at, then you go to the counter to pick up your order which is labelled according to the kiosk you ordered from. I got the peanut sesame gelato and my partner got the HK tea gelato. I loved how they tasted! It was almost like peanut butter but with a more creamy and rich flavour. The HK tea tasted like bubble tea ice cream. The portion looks small but is filling. I’ll definitely go back to try the other flavours.
Both locations are my favourite ice cream bars in all of downtown Toronto! The location is cozy and tiny with seating outside to enjoy in the summer. Edit- no indoor seating due to Covid, but very easy contactless ordering system within the store that is fast and efficient. I love that you can try as many flavours as you want before you commit! Also most flavours are not overly sweet which is great in an icecream!
May 2021 after reading the reviews, had to try it myself and this didn't disappoint. If you're considering dropping by, your not likely to be disappointed. The ice cream is cremey and flavorful. Had a scoop of the rose pistachio and durian flavors and you could definitely taste it knowingly even with your eyes closed. The hojicha almond ice cream float was also very good, though..... Tapioca perals bubbles were a bit hard and if possible, I'd only get the grass jelly. 4.5 as it is a tad expensive. They have 3 self serve counters labelled A,B, C at this time with covid and one person preparing the food. Not sure if that will change in the future. Easily accessible and in a good location along a popular walking area on Queen St.
Probably one of my favourite gelato places in Toronto. Fantastic portions and flavours for a decent price. My personal favourites are the Vietnamese iced coffee. What’s also great is that you can buy quality Vietnamese coffee beans there too! Another great thing that they’ve done is to have a self-checkout area - it’s really well designed and super clean. Makes getting ice cream/gelato during covid even more enjoyable :
Greta variety of gelato flavors with an oriental touch. Absolutely loved the Thai Iced Tea gelato. Viet Coffee was great as well. I know this is not normally what people look for, but I was super impressed by the crispness of the waffle cone as well.
Amazing gelato! You must tried the Durian flavour, one of the best durian ice cream. Other flavours are also tasted. However, not every flavour is available. Need to check before you go.
Visited Kekou a while ago and can say that it is some of the best gelato I've ever had! Lots of ice cream/gelato places have flavours that taste artificial, but the flavours at Kekou taste exactly like their name. My friend and I each split a scoop of the HK Milk Tea and Earl Grey flavours. The Earl Grey has a very strong and floral taste which was amazing. The HK Milk Tea was a bit sweeter and tasted exactly how you would expect it to - so good! Some other flavours that I would like to try next time are the Almond Tofu and Vietnamese coffee.
Asian-inspired Gelateria and Milk Tea spot with unique flavours such as Hojicha, Black Sesame, Rose Pistachio and Thai Milk Tea. Service is very quick self-serve during Covid and they go the extra mile to ensure your needs are met. A very small gripe is that the consistency of the gelato is more like ice cream in that it's not as smooth as normal gelato and you can tell there are some ice crystals, but the uniqueness of the flavours offsets this!
