Canadian Tire

I went to get my emissions test at this location today and everything went well. I had an appointment at 1:30 and was done by 2pm. The service person was really nice and friendly. He even wished me a happy birthday since it was a few days away. I don't generally like to take my car to Canadian Tire from past experiences at different locations but this one I had a decent vibe about and figured it was just a free emissions test . Based on the service today, if I had to take my vehicle to Canadian Tire,, I would choose this location.

Hard time to return things even with the receipt. The person at the return desk told me that items bought at another Canadian tire location cannot be returned here. That's the weirdest thing I've ever heard. Had to spend time finding the manager who accepted the item without any problem. I think people need to be trained properly in order to provide appropriate customer service.

Tried to price match with something from Walmart and the customer service manager wouldn't do it saying I only get the discount if I return a cartridge but that wasn't the case with Walmart. She clearly stated she wasn't sure on how it all worked exactly but that she was not going to give me what I wanted for the discounted price. So I called the corporate office and they said there should be no issue and to have the store call them if they give me a hard time. After going back to the store and waiting 30 minutes in line again, the customer service manager finally came over, I told her what corporate said, she just looked at the cashier and told her to do it for me and walked away without another word. Huge waste of time for an item under $40 and horrible customer service manager. The only reason this got 2 stars is because the other time I came to this location the gentleman in the automotive department was very helpful and nice.

Went to get my tire fixed today. They took the nail out and put the tire on but didn't air it. Then tried to be dishonest and say "when you drive it will recalibrate and the sensor will turn off." Ugh no. So my husband made them air the tire up and miraculously the sensor turned off! Like, really Canadian Tire? Who are you hiring?! That was pure laziness. Not impressed and will not be back to ever use any of your car services again. I'm really disappointed. Pretty sure I need to check the lug nuts and make sure they actually tightened them since putting air in the tire was such a difficult task.

There is a Master Card - Canadian Tire point card sales rep on the floor was really aggressive and bothering to the customers. First he approached and said "Bro, do you have a second" and I told him "I don't have a time". Then he said "you don't have time for what? Huh?" by keep chasing me with his annoying tone. I used to be a sales rep, and that's not how to make sales. Canadian tire store managers should be aware when they put 3rd party sales rep on the floor that people usually think they are Canadian tire employees. They need to keep an eye on their attitude
