Canadian Tire

Goes without saying that Canadian Tire Automotive is garbage. Most employees are incompetent taking 2-3 times longer than anticipated for simple things and not even doing the work correctly. Complaining doesn't do anything since management doesn't care. Even the GM (Geoffrey Soucy) doesn't care. He is more busy having his head up his ass and protecting his dumb minions. They can damage anything on your car and they will wipe their hands clean of any wrong doing. Go to a dealership or a reputable mechanic instead of these clowns. You will thank yourself when you get your car back repaired right the first try on time without any BS or additional damage.

Every time I come to the auto shop it takes twice as long as they say it will. I keep it simple - seasonal tire switch this time. Hard to mess that up, you’d think. But of course there’s a problem with a suddenly damaged sensor two hours in, requiring less than an hour to fix (I was assured). So despite my suspicions about time and cause of the required repair, I say yes - but has to be done in an hour so I can pick up my son. And of course an hour passes and still no car. Excuses, attempts to deflect blame, the whole nine yards. Price at the end was double what I expected. I will never use CT again. My dealer may be more expensive, on the face of it, but there are never any surprises and the cost is what they say it will be at the start.

Came in to buy a few products and get a receipt printed again. The store is huge, and as they carry so many products it's understandable that most staff are of little to no help if asked where to find something. Spent much time looking for things, then made it through the cash. Customer service desk to print receipt took way too long, about 15 min for them to print a paper. Learned I will have to bring my broken vacuum elsewhere.

Very good service overall. Good quality/price ratio. If I have a small repair to do on my car or home, that’s the place I go.

5 stars for the garage, 3 for the retail store. The retail store isn't the best. The garage has always been good to me though, average prices but they're direct, helpful, and haven't tried to upsell me to anything I don't need. Cheap off-season tire storage too.
