Customer Service is very poor. Sent me spam email to tell me my account was locked as a result of a bank error. They couldn't even pick up the phone to call and let me know there was an issue. It was not unlocked until their investigation was complete. In the meantime bills were not paid. I was never informed when it was complete and then they added on interest and sent a threatening letter. Stil locked after 2 weeks.I've been with CIBC for 45 years...but no longer. So impersonal and no consideration for the fact that you need access to your money.

One of the worst banks in Canada. Never never entrust them with your business. Poor customer service, don't care attitude, can't interpret a credit report. I've dealt with TD Bank for many years; the people at CIBC are hopeless, and I think it's partly because they hire low quality people and partly because their policies and protocols are no good. Would give them 0 stars if I could.
