This outfit is unqualified, unprofessional and worst of all, EXTREMELY expensive. Expensive is OK when it comes with excellent work, prompt work and professionalism. None of those qualities were present. Every time I stopped by to check on the progress of my boat, there was NO ONE working anywhere. I routinely found Teag and Meg plunked down in their messy office in full lazy mode. Teag looks and sounds like he just woke up most of the time.
In the end the work they did failed almost across the board. When I asked them to rectify the problems that I had paid a HIGH price for, they said they'd stand behind their work and fix it all for free. Somewhere along the way Teag decided the boat has a structural flaw and so he did nothin wrong, therefore he thought it was perfectly fine to bill me in FULL again for the work he already did once before.
The flaw is a matter of opinion, but it was discussed originally. I paid him to rectify the problem with an after market solution. We had discussed it as trouble shooting and he had assured me it was no problem. Within a month the console that I had paid him to secure was rattling like crazy and all the screws and bolts shook loose again. I paid him to go through the electrical wiring as I was having major issues with that too. Best I can tell he never did a damn thing with any of it as the electrical issues were no different. I also paid a LOT of money for that alleged work.
When I brought the boat to another reputable yard the very first thing they said was the motor was 30" and this boat needs to have a 25" motor on it. It was literally trying to tear itself off the boat, riding way too low and super inefficiently. They put a lifting bracket on the boat that made a world of difference, in speed, smoothness, mpg and clearance. Of all the ticky tack stuff Teag pointed out on my boat as critical, he fully missed this one. The other tech basically said anyone that doesn't see this as obvious isn't any kind of boat tech.
After all that Teag lost the keys to my boat, but quickly deflected any fault by saying I never gave them the keys. Of course I did, there was even a lock on the trailer that they had opened with said keys.
The only reason I gave one star is because that's the minimum allowed. If it was possible it would be a ZERO star rating. Do yourself and your friends a favor and never give these thieves any business. They're presently relocating to MacArthur Blvd. in Bourne. Drive right by and go around the corner to the Boat Guy on 28A.
This is as bad as it gets!!!

Teag called me after reading my last post to discuss the bill. He expressed his sincere concerns as a business owner about having satisfied customers and wanted to make sure I understood the bill. At the end of the day, he stood by the bill and felt it to be reasonable and fair. I'm still thinking it was pricey (again, you can decide), but I'll give him style and class credit for making the call and addressing the issue in a professional and constructive manner. The 4-Star is an indication of his professionalism.
