My husband and I ordered our windows months ago that were to be ready at the end of August. Since then we called every week still have no windows 4 weeks later. This has also caused us to push back the rest of our renovation project resulting in lost $$ in contractors we had to pay because the house was not ready. We were told they will be ready by Friday but Cambridge is only open until 3:30pm so we need to take another day off work to go get them. Finally after an email to the manager and this review we were offered free delivery. Happy to have our windows now. Apparently the gentleman we originally dealt with is no longer with the company which is good and I guess our account just got messed up with his departure and failure to follow up.
Wow. Where to start about the brutal service Cambridge offers. We were told 2-3 weeks from order date the windows would be installed. I called after about 2 weeks and confirmed install would be the next week. During that week we received no communication from Cambridge at all. We called and asked why no one had contacted us and we were told the installer was sick so everything was delayed one week. We thought that's fine ok, and we were told we would be contacted Monday of week 4. No contact. We called on Tuesday and low and behold they said the windows we ordered didn't turn out well so they tried to upcharge us to a different style of window. At this point the terrible communication is unacceptable and they haven't installed yet because the sliders they made don't work. Awesome. So it has now been 4.5 weeks with no windows and no manager or owner returning our calls. DO NOT USE CAMBRIDGE.
I purchased windows for my new home. I have had problems with the locks not working properly. A service person came out twice. The basement windows are OK but the kitchen window will not lock and has never locked. I was told he needed a special tool to fix the kitchen window, and would be back I have not seen or heard from anyone since. My patio door was missing a screen, when they delivered my other screens, still no screen. The patio door dose not lock properly either. When the windows came the glass was covered in silicone. I have called and left messages, emailed and had one response saying they would be out and they would rebate me for all my troubles. I'm not sure when this may happen! I paid extra for triple glaze argon filled, they were a total waist of money. My windows were installed just about a year ago.I rate the service as very poor! A simple return email, phone call or with any luck maybe a locking kitchen and patio door before winter.
We bought all our windows and patio doors through Cambridge. Very disappointed in the quality control in the manufacturing department. Our rake windows are not level and every one of the windows were bowed. The weld split apart our large rake window. The 2 patio doors ordered were not the correct size , so we had to reorder , which took 2 months. Very unhappy with the quality and workmanship ! Would advise anyone looking for windows and doors to look elsewhere
Got a quote from Cambridge and All Weather Windows, although All Weather had a better price by a bit, Cambridge told us they would have the windows in 2 weeks beating All Weather by 2 weeks delivery 4 weeks. We ordered the windows and paid 50% on May 2 2014. At no time did Cambridge contact us, after 3 weeks we started to phone. Was told Friday May 30, nope Monday June 2 nope, Tuesday June 3 for sure nope. Finally picked the windows up on Wed June 4. Asked to talk to the saleman in regards to a discount considering the delivery date. The salesman was to busy eating his lunch to be concerned about his customer. After waiting 20 minutes I told the girl to forget it but I did advise her that I would leave comments. I will never deal with Cambridge windows again
I just had the 12 windows in my house replaced by Cambridge Windows. Overall the quality of the windows and installation was excellent. I can already feel the difference of the triple pane windows. The installers were also very friendly and thorough. They cleaned up after themselves and made sure to go through all the windows with me. I would highly recommend Cambridge Windows to anyone I know.
Cambridge windows installed windows in my cottage February 26, 2016. 2 of the windows were installed with scratches on the glass. I called and spoke to Slava about getting the windows replaced. He told me to take some pictures and they would exchange it right away. After I sent him the pictures he said they would make new windows and exchange them. On June 15th I spoke to Max about the windows. He said he would see what he could do to get it fixed. Nothing happened. I called again and spoke to Uri having been told that he was the service manager but he said he's not - he's just the installer. Nobody wants to take responsibility for warranty issues. The last person I spoke to was Ksemia at the beginning of July and she told me that on July 11 someone would be at my cottage to replace the windows. The cottage is 2 hours away from my home in Calgary. I drove up there as discussed and no one showed up. I spoke to her again on July 15 and she said there would probably be someone there on Thursday, July 21. I'm getting tired of this BS of Cambridge constantly postponing these appointments. The service stinks. I would advise anyone looking for new windows to avoid this company. I'm getting tired of being screwed around. Mario Fortini
We ordered all of our 11 windows for our 1909 farm house reno and the service was great! Garry was very helpful and revised our quote a couple times to make sure it reflected what we were looking for. once we got the windows they fit great and functioned perfect! I am so very happy we chose Cambridge windows and i will be purchasing from them again
I had my windows installed July. Everything looked good and my tenants were very pleased with them. When the winter hit there was significant ice build up in the seam bottom center of every window. I contacted Gurpreet and he said that he would have a serviceman come out to take a look at the windows in the new year. I followed up with him to arrange the appointment and he didn't respond. I left him three voicemails and several text messages and he ignored all of them. I am not sure if the windows are defective. Upon closer inspection of the windows, I noticed that some of the windows were not siliconed in some areas as well.
After all the stress and frustration this company gave me over the past 4 months, the most I can do to help other people is to warn them and discourage them to use this company. Gurpreet can seem to be a very nice guy when he is trying to get your business but please don't be fooled. Once you sign a contract with them, he can be rude, unprofessional, and inconsistent on his statements. After 4 months of waiting to get our basement windows done, he told me that he cannot find another contractor to do my basement windows enlargement and asked me to just pay the balance for the windows I already ordered. He accused me that I am the one breaking the contract because I did not like their contractor who first of all very unprofessional and cannot deliver the services promised to me as evidenced by the project not being done after 4 months, which is the reason why I requested for a different contractor. Gurpreet promised me himself that he would find a different contractor if the work is not done that weekend in February after their contractor repeatedly cancelled previous schedules. I had another issue with him in regards to not being able to get the correct refunds for the services i did not get.
