MCM Home Exteriors

I used MCM for door removal and installation 2 for house, and 1 for garage. The quote was reasonable. The backdoor hole needed to be made larger, as well as the garage door. Doors took awhile to come in, and installation took about 3 days. Working with Gordie was great. He spoke to all areas of my concern, and ensured that all was cared for to meet our needs. Doors look great! I would definitely use them again for future needs, such as siding.

In December, MCM came to replace the siding on our house. They started the job and left it halfway done. With tools and scaffolding still up and siding left hanging along the house. We had to send out pictures for them to take us seriously and finish the job. Upon completion, my house does look great! My problem though and the reason for my review, is the amount of nails left on our property. With the snow melting, and I'm not exaggerating, there are handfuls and handfuls of nails scattered all over the yard. There are bits of plastic everywhere and I even found an exacto knife just laying on the ground. They said they would come back in the spring to clean up, but it's insane how many nails were dropped and left behind. They know we have dogs and I can't just wait till the spring to let them outside again. So this is a warning to use another company if you have pets or kids that use your yard.

We had siding installed on our home and we were very pleased with the results. Great communication from the contractor and the crew did a good job - friendly, respectful and cleaned up at the end of each day.

The first time I talked to Gord for an estimate was in the spring of 2018. It took me a full year to actually make the decision to go ahead with the project and Gord was super patient about having to come out and measure everything a second time this summer. He also put me in touch with an electrician who did excellent work with us as part of this project. We had all of our stucco removed and new insulation put up and then hardie board and all of the trim pieces/window finishes done as well. Everyone who worked together to make this happen did an excellent job. If you live in Edmonton, you know that we had pretty terrible weather this summer, but it didn't feel like this project took longer than Gord originally estimated it would take so that was great! I had a couple of questions at the end and Gord was great at answering them and sorted out an issue we had with one downspout placement no problem as well. This commitment to customer service/satisfaction is so important and I am happy to recommend MCM. He was also super helpful when we were choosing a colour and had a swatch book fedexed over to us. Pricing: In comparison to the other quotes I got, MCM was the lower cost option for sure. Based on what the other quotes looked like it seemed like other places were really marking up the hardie board product quite a lot. It was an expensive project, but I'm very happy with it and believe it was worth the price!

We have had 3 renovations performed by MCM Home Exteriors over the last year. A new roof , new siding and front entrance door. Rodney, Frank and Kyle all did an exceptional professional job.
