Calgary Climbing Centre Stronghold

This is a great indoor climbing facility. There is a variety of difficulties of routes, and they are changed frequently to keep things interesting. The gym is kept clean and maintained well, and there is a variety of wall types and features. The staff are friendly and quick to offer help when asked. They also work great with kids of all ages and provide challenges to keep them climbing and challenged. The bouldering area is small at this location, but provides good variety. There is also plenty of other training areas in the basement for strength.

First time ever climbing. The lesson on belaying was great with George. Learned lots and started to develop a comfort level with climbing.

Great place for climbing practice. Good number of walls. The only slight complaint is the routes dont change that often

I did the two-day lead climbing course a few weeks back. I highly recommend this if you're interested in lead at all. The combination of the 4-hour indoor course and 1 day outdoor course was a great mix. Just tested out my newly acquired outdoor lead skills this weekend, and had a blast!
