Incredible cafe! Love the variety of pastries, drinks and ice cream available. This is a truly authentic Japanese cafe, since the ingredients they use are fresh. The place is clean, the staff is super nice & helpful and the washrooms are especially clean. I stayed here to study and it had a very nice vibe. I ordered a iced Sencha tea which was incredibly delicious and had a rich flavor. When I asked the staff about differences between the teas, they were very helpful in describing them and letting me smell different samples. High degree of customer service here, and respect for customer. I will be back in the near future!
First time here. It is conveniently located at the southeast corner of Sheppard and Brimley. Very accessible by car, bus or even walking if you live in the neighborhood. Cafe bistro with a Japanese fusion twist. For those who already know this flavour of food will love it and those who haven’t discovered it yet will definitely be delighted. Great service. Great decor. Great food. And my daughter loved the ice cream
Very pleasantly surprised at this hidden gem. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The iced matcha latte was very good. They offer quite a variety of food options as well and have ice cream too. I'd definitely recommend stopping by to give them a try! I'll definitely return to try more items.
We got Tofu Cheesecake and Fig & Walnut Scone. Tofu Cheesecake was amazing, it had a subtle sweetness, it was a lighter Cheesecake, the Whipped Cream on top was airy, the crust had Black Sesame in it, it was such a delicious dessert to go with a cup of Coffee! Fig & Walnuts Scone We forgot to take a pic of…. was also delicious, it had a nice texture, perfectly moist, good amount of Walnuts and Fig in it, the best part was that they also warmed the Scone up for us, made it even better!
I appreciate the quaint and cozy environment of this Japanese cafe. Their desserts and light lunch offerings are extensive yet unique to its own. I especially enjoyed the mentaiko toast and the chestnut chiffon sandwich they offered. The black sesame latte is like a nice sweet drink akin to what the cantonese black sesame dessert soup would be like, though less thick. There are student specials for those that attend school nearby!
Came here awhile back when it had opened up for a few months and I’ve already been back a couple times! What I come here for is those Japanese inspired treats! Especially the Japanese tofu cheesecake! The cheesecake is soft and creamy, and as well light and airy. Each bite just melts in your mouth! And made by the baker of the home based business sugar soul pastry. Also had a hojicha latte and very nicely complemented the cheesecake! They also carry food and salads as well as I have seen people eating brunch there. Other treats include a Japanese chiffon sandwich which is the next treat I’m gonna come back and try! Service was amazing! Owner and staff really care about trying to do better and having those quick little conversations that just elevate the service! Great job overall! This place is amazing. The staff is very friendly, the sweets are delicious, the coffee/tea is done well, and it has a great atmosphere in general. A great place to study, decompress from work, or go for a date. I initally decided to check out this place on a whim when I needed some coffee but now I find any excuse to stop here.
Came on a Saturday afternoon and was able to get a table for 4. You order at the front counter and the staff brings out your items to your table. The staff was very friendly and the cafe had a very chill vibe to it. They offer a wide variety of drinks and pastries/ cakes as well as ice cream and savoury items. We tried the brown kinako latte, iced matcha latte, hojicha cream puff, and tofu cheesecake. The drinks were delicious and the cheesecake was great as well. The cream puff felt a little dry but was tasty nonetheless. Definitely recommend to try.
Ordered ahead for their signature tofu cheese cake as birthday cake. I ordered the smaller one which is ideal for 4-6 ppl. The cake looked light, tasted light, but heavy when I picked up. You can easily taste the tofu. Not too sweet. Fresh fruits are nice and I liked how it's not dipped in syrup. They replied message on Instagram with attentive details. We cut the smaller half of the cake on the first day so we can still take pictures on the second day. Hands for scale.
Such a cute little cafe, I would love to return even just by myself! The strawberry yogurt cheesecake was light and soft and perfection. The green tea brownie would be much better with the whipped cream option for $1.50 more.
