The Rick family's original restaurant, Café Cravings, located in White Bear since 1995. Homemade bakery, desserts, breakfasts, lunch, and coffee.

Story

Cafe Cravings in White Bear is located just north of Highway 694, just east of Highway 61 on County Road E. We feature made to order breakfasts served all day, along with homemade bakery & desserts, delicious soups, salads, and sandwiches. We have a beautiful patio and fireplace along with impressive wine menu and bottled beer. Full coffee and espresso drinks; all available through our drive thru window. Our desserts are made from scratch and are amazing. We sell whole desserts and offer catering services.

I'm not sure if I love the food or the people more! My family eats here at least three times a month and we've never had anything that wasn't delicious. I especially love the coffee drinks, wild rice soup, and daily quiche.

It's a quaint, cozy location, and there are menu items that you don't find in as many local places, but the lunch food wasn't particularly great and it was pricey for the quality and amount. I kind of wished I had ordered breakfast food because I get the feeling that's more their wheelhouse. It's probably a great place for breakfast, or a nice cappuccino or a dessert, but I was disappointed with the food me and my group had. Except the soup looked good, so maybe if I ever end up there again I'll go with a bread bowl and my opinion will improve?

Excellent food and friendly staff. Be prepared to wait for a table during peak times, the process of obtaining one can be a bit ad hoc. Make sure you place your order at the counter and don't sit around waiting for service. Five stars if you visit off hours or plan for take out, four for the slight chaos that is weekend brunch.

Delicious and home cooked meals, desserts and bakery. Very nice and plentiful Gluten free menu, including bakery items. Large selection of coffees teas and wine.

It took me 18 years to go into this place, and minutes to regret not checking it out before. Nice local place to get coffee & fancy drinks. There are always people sitting in here which makes me think it's a WBL favorite. A donut & pastry selection exists, which has never disappointed me. Been for coffee a few times. Just had the breakfast, it's a little spendy, but the food was well made.
