Café RICARDO Laval

We asked for a table on the window but we were told that it is reserved. So he gave us a table at the entrance. Desaster. Although they have 2 door but every time some body comes in we get hit by cold wind. Not comfortable at all, specially if you have a baby. We had no choice but to leave after having a fast cup of coffee. Out of curiosity I asked, the clients that took the table that was reserved, if they had a reservation and guess what, they said no. My experience was not that great but they have good coffee. The big name is not up to the standard from a service point of view. In all cases good luck.

Décor and food are a solid 4 stars. However, the quality of the service is below average and we were hoping that it would improve along the brunch ... however it didn’t.

Ordered a cake a couple of times and although cakes are delicious and well presented the box cake comes in does not measure up! Boxes are flimsy, cheap looking and the only thing holding box together is an elastic and a sticker. Firstly I was anticipating arriving at someone’s house with a better looking Ricardo box to impress my host and secondly I had to hold my breath hoping it wouldn’t topple. Please change your cake boxes, for practical and esthetic reasons.

Unfortunately had a terrible experience. Didn't even get a chance to taste the food. The waitress refused to serve my wife and I in english. We asked her if she speaks english she said no. I asked her if there was another waiter that speaks english she said that she will continue serving us. Extremely rude and unprofessional. We decided to leave, right before exiting I spoke to what seemed the manager and he he was clearly embarrassed as he mentioned that the waitress in fact spoke english. Very disappointing.

Clean, Healthy, good and offers an awsome service. I wished It could stay open later !
