Café Novanta

It's a nice spot. Good coffee, good places to sit and work or talk or whatever you like. Friendly staff as well. Stuff on the lunch menu is very good.

By far my favorite coffee shop in the city. The staff is the friendliest, the atmosphere is calm and nice. It's very much the neighborhood hang for a good number of regular patrons and I like being around that. Their mochaccino is my favorite and all their pastries are great, too.

Novanta is my favourite café in my neighbourhood. Even if I didn't live as close as a five minute walk, I would still find an excuse and go there. The owners/staff are wonderfully kind and warm, and it's impossible not to feel that at-home, family atmosphere. It's a perfect place to get some work done—it's well-lit and the music is decent—, or to meet and converse with friends, or even to just drop by on days when you might be feeling a bit down and lonely.. The tasty coffee and the delicious pastries will make you feel better, but more importantly, the people working there will make sure you do feel better. I can't think of many places in Montreal where they don't ask you how you are when you enter; yet, I can't think of as many places where they really mean that when they do ask it.. Novanta is one of those places where they clearly do mean it. Thank you!
