I love cafe M! I've been going since their opening day and haven't been disappointed yet. The bagel burgers are amazing, and the matcha latte is delicious. It fills up though, so get there early!

Very pricey to be served Kraft Singles and cheap ham on my miniature breakfast sandwich. Ketchup automatically drizzled on an omelet? Most of the plate was a salad - except we didn't want a salad, we went in for breakfast. Didn't let us substitute bagel for toast, glass of milk was warm. Took a long time to be served. Ladies were nice but we won't be coming back here.

Overall, this place needs a lot of work to survive in the Montreal cafe scene. A few good points, the barista was nice and the service was good. Note though, I've read that people who work here don't speak English, and I found that to be true. I switched over to French and it was fine, but for those who can't communicate in French, ordering and such may be a bit difficult. Another good point is that the place is quite clean for those who care about this kind of stuff. Onto the negatives, first, the coffee is in desperate need of improvement. The cappuccino was bland and watered-down. This place screams of "we offer coffee but we don't appreciate coffee at all." Second, the muffin I had was dry like cardboard and also devoid of taste, closing in to the point of not being edible. Third, the atmosphere was a bit strange, the music was like stuff you'd hear in a dentist office, and the space itself is a bit tight in a way I'm not sure I would qualify as cozy, but more that it's just a somewhat crammed space with furniture oddly laid out. So style-wise, it doesn't really fit the vibrancy and warmth you can find at other Montreal cafes.

A sweet café with good prices and a range of seating options. I went there to catch-up with a friend, but we had a hard time carrying on much of a conversation because the café was playing very loud music the whole time. There were a lot of students on their laptops, which might have been reason for the loud music (to deter them) but it was so loud that the experience was not enjoyable.

Cozy little café with nice service and tasty drinks. A nice little spot to get away from the hustle and bustle of Boulevard Saint-Laurent without leaving the area entirely. Two bigger tables suited for groups of 3-4 each (could probably push them together for a group of 5-8 there isn't anyone else using them), a nice pair of chairs with a coffee table between them (ideal for catching up with a friend), and near the windows there are six stools facing a bar-style work bench with coat hangers and power outlets perfect for working or studying. The music (classic rock playing in the background) is a nice complement to the rest of the café.
