Story

Never is the game of golf more appealing than when a course is set in a rugged, oceanfront landscape, on linksland running firm and fast. This is Cabot Links, Canada’s only authentic links. This is Cabot Links, where the holes spread out between the sea and the village of Inverness. This is Cabot Links, where every hole offers an ocean view and where five holes play directly adjacent to the beach.

To see the ocean from everywhere on the links, and to play golf on the ground as well as in the air, to imagine shots and to understand that the contours of the fairways and greens invite creativity: This is golf as it was meant to be and as it has been for centuries on the classic links that represent the best the game has to offer. Yes, this is Cabot Links, where golf is truly a game, meant to be played.

Play Cabot Links and you will feel linked to the game’s enduring values. You will feel at home, because you will have come home to the true game. This is golf the Cabot way, on a course designed for all golfers who know the game has a heart, and a soul, and who understand that playing it means engaging all the senses. Cabot Links will do that, because of where it is, how it plays, and the values it expresses. Canada’s first links has come to Nova Scotia. Golfers are sure to follow.

Cabot Links is wonderful golf course that serves up an excellent links style golf experience set against wonderful vistas. Every golf shot is encapsulated in a picture postcard view. I enjoyed soaking up the scenery at the end of every golf shot on Cabot Links. Cabot Cliffs, similarly serves up an excellent golf challenge. This course stretches up the rugged coast line and delivers you to its signature holes set alongside steep, jagged cliffs that fall dramatically away to the ocean. It makes for an exhilarating golf challenge set against some of the most breathtaking scenery in the region. Be prepared to walk for eighteen holes, and hiring a caddie is probably good advice if you wish to score well. There are excellent dining options available at the course.

Worth coming just for the Superb sunset view and ambiance. But bar/restaurant way overpriced for what you get. I think the cook was either in a foul mood or has a macabre sense of humour for I ordered a main fish dish with kale that was fried+ salted beyond recognition. When we drew their attention to it, they brought us a bowl of raw kale as substitute. huh? I thought it was a joke. The dessert of a blueberry crumble was tasty but small enough to satisfy only a sand-flea . Otherwise our waitress was charming.

Created by Mike Keiser (of Bandon Dunes fame), Cabot Links and its younger sibling Cabot Cliffs provide an unrivalled links golf experience on Canada's Atlantic coast. Just off the road in Inverness, on Cape Breton Island, this Stay&Play venue boasts two world-class seaside courses.

My wife and I spent one night at this golf course. The room was beautiful, clean and well decorated. The view of the golf course and the beach were clearly a major plus. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The A.C. might have been a bit loud overnight but I must admit that it was very minor overall, and that wouldn't stop me from coming back. We ate at the Panorama and loved the service (prompt, friendly and courteous) and every meal we ordered. We will definitely come back to this place if we travel on Cabot trail in the future.

A tremendous links experience! Played both Links & Cliffs courses, & found them both to be reminiscent of my recent experiences in Scotland. Strong, shifting winds & weather creates a wonderful challenge! (Pack your rain gear!) Greens on the Cliffs were understandably slow given the newness of the course. The views on both courses are striking. Stayed at the resort & found the accommodations well appointed and the staff very friendly and helpful. The three restaurants at the resort did not disappoint. (I strongly recommend the seafood chowder.) As the courses and resort matures, the surrounding area will fill out with further dining/shopping options & the courses will only get better.
