Story

Albert's Motel is open from May till November 1st. Of course all is considering our weather in the region which unfortunately can be unpredictable. Our phone lines are always open 24hours so we can be reached year round to check room availability as well as our opening dates. We thank each and every person who takes the time to call us. Large room, very well equipped and excellent service. Right opposite the only grocery store in town. Right on the Cabot Trail but set back enough to be quiet. Great value too.

Lovely motel with a wonderful owner. Cottage like setting with a view of the bay. Tastefully decorated,  clean and comfortable.  Highly recommend.  Nice place to take in the sunset.

These people are life savers. Epitome of customer service. We were a couple on a road trip from London, ON (August 2017) and we had just found out we had been double-booked at the campsite we were intended to stay for the next two nights. It's 6pm, raining and windy and no motel, hotel or Airbnb is vacant for the night. In a last ditch effort I call a motel highly ranked by google (Albert's Motel) and the owner tells me, like everywhere else, that he doesn't have any vacancy. However, I ask him if he knows of ANYWHERE we can stay for the night. Amazingly, the motel owner stayed with me on the phone for nearly 30 minutes calling up other motels, friends and family trying to find us a place to stay. I told him it would be alright if we had to sleep in the car for the night but he wouldn't have no for an answer. Out of ideas he asks his wife. She suggests her sister's son's Airbnb. Miraculously, the Airbnb owners had a booking fall through and were open to allowing us stay the night. In addition, the Airbnb was fabulous and we received inside information about the local Gypsum Mine swimming spot in Cheticamp. A MUST SEE. I sincerely thank the owners of Cheticamp Albert's Motel for their unparalleled customer service, kindness and family-like importance we received on our trip to Nova Scotia. The sayings are true, the people out east do treat you like family.

The room was clean, comfortable, and had all the amenties you'd want (fridge, microwave, satellite tv, wifi). Staff was very friendly and clearly took pride in ensuring you had a good stay. While the motel is close to the main road through town it wasn't loud at all. Coop (grocery store) and hardware store across the street if there is anything you needed. This is the best accomodations you'll find on the Cabot Trail given that none of the big premium chains (hilton, sheraton etc) have locations in the area.

The location is great. The rooms are really clean and the people are amazing. Will return.
