Côte St Luc BBQ

Story

Since 1953, Rotisserie Cote St. Luc Bar-B-Q has been charcoal grilling chicken to perfection. We are the only restaurant that offers maple char grilled chicken carefully roasted in our original (traditional) brick ovens.

Our chefs keep careful watch over each chicken’s cooking time so they are crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. With fresh produce shipped daily, our crispy French fries, homemade soup and coleslaw are the perfect accompaniment to any plate. Come try our savory maple char grilled chicken and famous homemade BarBQ sauce; a treat to crow about!

Not bad. Fries are mushy--I prefer them crispy. The chicken is well seasoned, the coleslaw is delicious, but they don't include it with every meal. The sauce is perfect. For BBQ chicken, it's on the expensive side, though.
In a pitch it’s not bad. But pricey as all hell. To legs and fries with brown soupgravy sauce, coleslaw does not come with it and a drink. For 28$ And the meal is almost 80% fries.
Update- We were touched that the owner reached out to us to rectify the situation and believe that the quality will continue to impress. Original post: We used to LOVE eating here. But each time we go, the prices get higher, the portions get smaller, and the food doesn't taste as fresh. Quality went down. We got chicken burgers tonight. The sandwiches were much smaller than before, and the cutlets tasted like they were fried hours ago. I called to ask , and was brushed off. I am disappointed. Sure they give you a ton of fries, but that is to cover up the shrinking portions.
I have heard about this place many times on the radio but since it's all the way in the West Island, I never really got the opportunity to try it. Until last week, where I was meeting friends in this area, we decided to all come here for supper. The inside looks like a diner and is very clean. The waitress sat us down and gave us the menu. We ordered the sampler platter which included cheese sticks, zucchini wedges, jalapeño poppers and a marinara sauce. I personally loved the zucchini wedges but I must say that the rest of the group loved the poppers. It tasted fresh and although they were fried it wasn't oily at all. We then ordered a large Caesar salad and what really surprised be was that they used the heart of romaine lettuce, I hate when my Caesar salad has those thick dark green romaine leaves. They actually used the heart of romaine which tells me they are not stingy and care about the quality of their food. Now let's get to the main event, the chicken. All I have to say is WOW, honestly it makes a huge difference when your chicken is done over charcoal, OMG it had an amazing smell and taste to it, so juicy and tender, I had the quarter leg, while others had half chicken and chicken sandwich. You can choose your side from baked potato, mashed potato, fries or rice. They also bring you coleslaw and gravy sauce. Everybody loved their plates and we were all stuffed but our waitress suggested Nutella cheesecake and how can you turn down that. That cheesecake was out of this world. Honestly I was so impressed by the food and the friendly staff much better than St-Hubert, Scores and Le Coq. I will definitely be coming here more often. From all the BBQ chicken I have had this was the best, a big 5 stars in my book.
Best chicken in the city. Always fresh and hot, we order from Uber eats and every time its the same taste and it's always fresh. Never dissappinted.
I can't complain, it is very good, but between the two most notable Montreal rotisserie restaurants, I do prefer the other. The staff was super nice.Food: 4/5
Went here with my family to grab a quick bite. Lots of different accessible seating. Armless chairs, benches the tables move, etc. The staff was awesome. All franglaphone, since it's in the English area. I got a chicken wrap and it was delicious and huge. The fries were super tasty too, I couldn't finish it all. My brother got a poytinr and Mac n cheese bites and he couldn't eat it all either.
Usually love this place but either they changed the gravy or it was an off day for whoever made it. No taste. Tastes like water
Been ordering weekly for years. Last couple times my orders have been poor. Prices keep increasing and the portions are getting smaller. Chicken and sauce tasteless, the mountain of fries is now a small portion and they also now give half a bun. Not sure if I’m getting old food or the cook has changed, but will no longer be ordering from here.
Excellent food! Been ordering from the NDG Cote St Luc for close to 10 years now. They're my favourite MTL bbq chicken restaurant by far. The bbq chicken is tasty and freshly cooked; I'm also a big fan of their club sandwich with cheese. Whether I order for take-out or delivery, the people are always friendly and courteous. I highly recommend giving them a try!
