This library is a really beautiful place. It's always a lovely sight to see children ...
The library is quiet. In my opinion, the only problem is the number of study desks and the fact that some study desks are not comfortable. It has a gentle and helpful staff
I would like to share my appreciation and gratitude towards the wonderful staff and Librarians at this facility. Not only they have been very warm and welcoming, they are also very kind.nnI was at the beach yesterday and someone decided to steal my clothes along with the book that i had borrowed from this library.nnI went to the library today to express my concern about my situation and they were very empathetic and offered to waive the fee. It wasn’t about the money it was more about doing a little polite deed to make me feel better.nnI will forever be in debt to the wonderful lady, god bless you!
I am writing to express my concern and disappointment regarding my experience at McGill Library yesterday. Despite using earplugs to block out noise, I was still disturbed by the janitorial staff, who began cleaning two hours before the library’s scheduled closing time. The noise made it difficult to concentrate, which was particularly frustrating in a space meant for quiet study.nnWhat was even more upsetting was being told by a librarian to use a washroom outside of the library, as the one inside had been locked prematurely. This was highly inconvenient and not in line with what patrons should expect. The library should be a place where students can focus on their work without unnecessary disruptions, and having access to basic facilities like a washroom until the library officially closes is essential.nnI am deeply frustrated with the current cleaning schedule and urge you to take immediate action. Janitorial duties must begin only after the library closes for the day, and the washroom should remain accessible to patrons until closing time. These changes are essential to preserving the library's environment and reputation as a quiet, welcoming space for study. It's crucial that we prioritize our patrons' needs and ensure their comfort.
The view of this library is excellent. The book and media storage are also good.nHowever, it is desirable by adding some up-today facility such as 3D printer at there. You know it is common facility in either Richmond or Coquitlam's libraries now.
I'm actually crying. I have lived in or near Vancouver for 55 years and this is the first time I have ever heard of this place and obviously being here. I have been anxiously praying for a break from the city. I love Metrotown BPL but this place is somehow even better. PARADISE
