Burhops Lakeside Lodge

Burhops is a great place to stay! Clean cottages, awesome owners and did I mention the view!?!?! Ohh, the bait shop is the BEST!Rooms: 5/5

My family just returned from another great week at Burhops. The lake side cabins have a fantastic view especially at sun set. The cabins are updated and fully furnished and the owners are outstanding! They work incredibly hard to make sure you have a great stay. They truly care about their guest . I highly recommend staying at Burhops and enjoying time with your family!

Rented “cabin” 6 and 7 due to the size of our group. Cabin was more of a studio apartment. Full fridges and stove with a few kitchen items. Front porch has a lake view. Two restaurants within walking distance. Docks and launch are decent. Listen to them and definitely turn your boat nose toward the lake. Brought ice and wood to us after purchasing. Friendly service. Nice fire pit and picnic table. Bring lawn chairs. Minnows and everything you could need in the bait shop for fishing. Bring your own coffee no where close to get it otherwise. Did have a pot in the room. We will definitely be back!!

We came out here last year and rented a 2 bedroom cabin for 3 nights in August. We had a blast! The owner is very nice and the cabins are very clean and you don't need anything but towels and food and charcoal and your beverages. This place has all the dishes, pans,silverware,cable TV,nice shower,and a/c. I am going again this month and I can't wait! I highly recommend this place for fishing trip. The bar next door has fabulous bloody Mary's too!

Rented a pontoon twice this summer. It has been super smooth and easy! They are very nice and helpful people with a great system in place. Every time we came back to use the bathroom or got gas, they checked on us to see if we needed anything. We will be back!Service: 5/5

Boat rental. The boat was disappointing. Mildew and torn seats. Very embarrassing. We thought we would have a nice boat but it was not acceptable for a rental. I was embarrassed. The rental person was not very kind. Very sad since I have rented here in the past and had a fabulous experience before.Service: 3/5

If we could give them a zero, we would. The owners daughter Erica was incredibly rude to us from the start. The boat was dirty, old and not appropriately equipped. They asked us if we wanted to take a picture of the prop before we left and we later found out why. When we returned, they accused us of damaging, or getting sand in the prop even though it looked perfect and threatened to charge us $1300 for it. The owners daughter was inappropriately swearing at me in front of my grandchildren. Made us wait for an hour while they pulled the boat out to "inspect the motor." even though said inspection never occurred BEFORE we rented it. As if that wasn't horrible enough, after we left we were pulled over by the local police. The officer told us that Erica had called them and told them we had been " driving recklessly". She reported all of our vehicles. Vindictive and probably crazy frankly. I would not recommend this business, what a horrible experience !! Terrible customer service. We had been coming here for years and were reliable return customers. Russ charged less, was friendly, kind and accommodating. New management has ruined this place. Never again.

Beautiful view. Sunsets are fantastic. Dock for boat if you have one, or boat rental by the day. Not exactly spacious cabins and not necessarily in tip top shape, but everything you need but towels and food. Amazing value. P.S. Town has a great free community pool if you are not swimming in the lake.

Cute little bait shop and boat launch. We rented an 8hp boat and it went great, most of the day. At the end of the day the motor stopped running. There were oars in the boat but one mount was missing. We had to call and get towed in. I would still go back!

Been renting same cabin for the last 3 years. It is not a luxury rental, but extremely well maintained and fully furnished, have window AC and ceiling fans. Each cabin have a picnic table and grill. Bring your own towels, food and a fan or two. Owner running boat rental and bait shop and on premises all the time. Beautiful views to the lake and incredible sunsets. Fishing is great if you get a boat, otherwise you can try your luck at dock fishing. Close to all main attractions in the area - Dells, trails, state parks, bike routes, or day trip to Madison. If you are looking for a place to relax and recharge - fantastic value! FYI - Russ/owner have speech inpediment and therefore is very laconic, multiple questions might get only one word answer
